So I have been having some troubles with my computer that I built. I have been using it for about a month and everything was running fine. I moved out of my apartment put it in storage and did put it down kind of hard on accident but nothing looks broken. It also sat in storage for 2 weeks, and it did get kind of warm So Cal, 112 degrees. I brought it back home hooked everything up and it was running good. But sometimes it seems like slow, or laggy. I play ArmA 3, and when I click to open the program, it loads up but once it gets passed the initial load screen, nothing happens. I click it again and it says cant open while already open. I also tried to CTRL+ALT+DELT, and it wouldn't open up. Anyone have any off the top of your head ideas?

Just won this in a competition...
Intel Core i5 4690K @4.3ghz OC
Corsair H55 watercooling
Gigabyte Z97X-SLI
Windows 8.1 (64-bit)
Corsair 2x4GB Vengeance 2133Mhz
Crucial M.2 128GB
1TB S-ATAIII HDD
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 4GB
Corsair CS650M PSU (Gold Rated / Modular)
Corsair Carbide Spec-01 Case
Iiyama XU2390HS 23″ Slim Bezel LED
Gigabyte Force K3 Keyboard
Gigabyte Force M7 Mouse
but can it run Crysis?
does gtx770 run much better/hotter than a 270x anyone know? Archeage is making my 270x like a furnace, even 70C at 70% fan speed.

If you bought it recently I'd try to return the 770 if you can. Otherwise you can sell your 770 used and put the money toward a 970.
Just bad timing on the build mane! Shoulda asked in here. We've been advising people to hold off on getting a GPU for close to a month now.
Is this only happening in ArmA3? If you have another game you should try it as well, just to see if maybe something got screwed up in the ArmA3 install.
If this happened after a move you were on the right track looking for physical problems. Double check all connectors and seating.
Make sure the fans are turning (while its on) and that nothing is blocked up with dust. Moving can dislodge a chunk of dust that was just sitting there and lock up a fan.
If you put it down too hard it's possible a heatsink got dislodged or is not in contact with a chip. Check all temps.
Last case, if you still can't figure out whats going on, take it completely apart, check for damage, and re-assemble it.Last edited by COFFEEMUG; 09-20-2014 at 06:53 AM.

If you haven't placed the order yet, swap out that SSD for this one for only $10 more.

MY FIRST BUILD!
Very happy with how everything turned out.
There is practically no space in the rear to hide wiring. So I had to run the power cable through the front.

Was $20 when I got it after rebates. For the price, it was a great buy. If you want great wire management, this case is not the best. I had to get creative and tuck the wires behind the lower hard drive bays.▪██─────██▪ Ivanko Barbell Crew #70 ▪██─────██▪

Do you guys use an antivirus or internet security program? I currently use the free Avast!, but my friend from Intel said it's kind of resource heavy. He said he uses Trend Micro Internet Security. Anyone have any recommendations? I'm on Windows 8.1 I have no clue what happened, but I can't delete any programs from programs/features. Like nothing shows up that I have installed in there. I think I have to format, again :-/

How long do you think it will be before 970's are back in stock?

Which version of windows do you guys use? I have 7, but I'm apprehensive to put 8.1 in my new build. I want to go with 7, and then upgrade to 9 when it comes out.
