I bought a Franklin Armory stripped lower a long time ago. When I bought my first PSA upper I attached it to the FA lower to see how it would fit (even though I planned to use that upper on a different lower) and it did not fit. I had forgotten about that. I just tried putting my BCM upper on the lower and had the same issue.

Here's a pic with my pushing them together.

    [IMG]http://i58.tinypic.com/2qstoba.jpg[IMG]

Not sure if I need to shave off some or if I should contact FA. I may be able to find the receipt but I have no idea. I bought it from a LGS. The rear tightening screw or whatever it's called is all the way down, it's not getting caught up on that and I can't exactly tell where it's getting caught at.

I have another stripped lower of the same brand as my PSA rifle. I might just throw the BCM on there and that way I can just get a new quality LPK. Just not sure what to do with the FA lower.

This was just after Sandy Hook. The LGS was fresh out of all stripped lowers. Called me the next day saying they got some FA in so I went to check them out and they were manufactured in my hometown. Thought it was cool that it had my hometown on the lower.

Doesn't really matter now since he's already bought it.

I'd give FA a call and see what they say.

And PSA makes quality, consistent parts with attention to detail and prompt customer service.

Agree with above. Contact them and see what they say/if they offer a replacement. Email them pics, I'd say.

Franklin Armory actually builds decent stuff. If it's not your buffer tube, then I'd be on the phone with them to solve the problem.

I would bet on the tube being threaded too far in. I had that problem with the first lower I built. Looked exactly like that.

I'm flying to Farley land in the morning. Working all day Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Hopefully half a day Sunday. Anyone have restaurant suggestions. I'll primarily be near perimeter mall.

The weather is supposed to suck, so how's the traffic gonna be. Couldn't be much worse than DFW.

Looks good. I'd go with a Mod4 though. Although I've never used a Mod3, I'd be worried it'd snag on me when slung.

One of my annoyances with the ARs is the size of the charging handle. You don't really have a lot to hold onto when wearing gloves, so that's why I went with the large latch.

Looks like it will be a fine rifle.

Did you just go with the standard buttstock offered with the lower from Brownells?

Is that a G26 in your pocket? Or are you just happy to see me....

Championshootersupply called me today by the way. Told me that the shipping for 4 boxes of Eley was going to be $19 and asked me if I still wanted to keep the order. I respectfully declined.
