Hi, I'm Crystal or PunkyCindy. During this log my workouts will be different than normal because I'm working around plantar fasciitis in my right foot. We'll see how this goes. I'll be watching my cals and trying to lose 2 lbs a week, but I'll be happy with 1
Current Goals
- Lose 1 - 2 lbs a week
- Hold on to as much muscle as I can while losing.
- Count cals and macros and hit targets consistently.
Ultimate Goals
- Be competitive in Spartan races and one day try my hand at the Spartan Death Race.
I'll add weight and measurements friday.
Random Facts About Me
- My user name is a combo of punky brewster and cindy lauper.
- I adore polka dots
- Squats are my favorite liftHi, I'm Crystal :)

Good morning!
Last night was my first modified workout because of plantar fasciitis and it felt good to be back in the gym. I can always feel that hint of depression creep back up after about 3 days out. (I fully manage depression with lifestyle choices including diet, exercise, and knowing when to step back)
I started with bench since it's the only compound lift that doesn't put more pressure on my foot. I blasted through and hit a PR on bench even though I've been on lower cals.
I absolutely freaking love my stack!!!!!!! Promera Sports baby!
My gym-beast cocktail consists of:
1 scoop gluta blast
2 scoops capsi blast
1 scoop women's elite
1 scoop peak 400
I could definitely feel the difference from the peak. I have been using gluta blast and capsi blast regularly, and I have used women's elite as well, but wow, peak really added an extra umph.
Since I was unsure of my foot and had been out of the gym a bit, I kind of took it easy as far as volume, but that'll change once I figure out this whole foot thing.
Now for the workout, but since I didn't write it down there won't be many specifics, but you'll get an idea at least
Bench
65x8
85x5
100x5
105x4
100x4
(from there I did as many sets as each weight as long as I could get at least 3 reps. I did the whole pyramid down thing in 5lb increments until I got back down to 65 lbs. Each set doing as many reps as I could).
Cable kick backs (straight leg)
I went about 50% because the loop was right on my ankle and heel and I wanted to make sure I tested my foot before going too hard. did 2 sets on each leg to failure.
lat pulldowns
3 sets of 70 to form failure
2 sets of 55 to form failure
arnold presses
3 sets of 25 to failure. started with 8 on the first set
Death machine.....I mean the elliptical. I decided to do this because I can't run or walk. At the 3 minute mark I was making deals with myself. "just finish this song" "just one more minute" "when that commercial goes off you'll stop" it's pretty funny thinking about it, but I managed to make it 25 minutes and all the while I was bargaining with myself.
A pretty puny workout compared to what I normally do, but it's like that sometimes. I really did miss my squats and dealifts, but glad I can add a new pr in my siggyHi, I'm Crystal :)

Nice work Crystal...Good job getting 25 minutes on the "death machine". I have one sitting idle in my living room..I injured my knee and can't run. Every now and then I look at that machine and try to talk myself into getting on it..I don't mind using it in the winter but when the weather is nice out I just can't make myself do it!!

I had a good workout tonight. I'm really missing squats and deadlifts though. Is it bad when you find yourself looking longingly at the squat rack from across the gym? And yes it was empty!!! lol
The pump from the supps is insane. If Dolly Pardon and Arnold had a love child that would be me.....or at least that's how I felt when I left the gym. Maybe throw in some Jlo and.....who has blue hair? Katy Perry maybe?
My blue drink consisted of:
2 scoops capsi blast
1 scoop gluta blast
1 scoop peak400
1 scoop women's elite....can we tell I like promera supps?
Workout
bench
65x10
85x7

lat pulldown
3 sets of 70 to form failure
3 sets of 60 to form failure
leg extensions
3 sets to failure...once again with crazy numbers lol
arnold presses
4 sets with 20 lbs db to failure
