I hope to see something like that too. Give Boone another 2-4 years with some more money. He should break the bank. VD I could care less what happens to him. It hurts to say that because he is a big part of the offense. But it shows that when he is out they struggled. This may start to have the team think about opening the offense up without him.

Boone definitely deserves the raise but I'm not sure the niners wanna give in to him just because he's outplaying his contract. He's got two years to go on that deal...kinda the gamble you take when you sign a deal. I know it's not fair cuz teams cut guys well before their contracts are up all the time but I could see this going either way. He's a very good player who's making peanuts and deserves a new deal but 49ers have to be careful of what could happen in the future if they give in to Boone.

slow news week with niner stuff. We got a nice topic last week with Kap's deal but probably gonna be kinda quiet for a bit.
Then again maybe the media accessible mandatory mini camps will have some nice info coming in. Just have to remember not to buy into those workouts so much. Which is why I'm not going gaga over Lloyd's OTA performances.

I will post the link when I get a chance but Davis is opening his mouth again. As far as I am concerned right the team should let him go. I lost so much respect for him m right now. That is just my opinion.....

Good thing I held out on buying a VD jersey!
Also what are the details on Ahmads contract. I know he took a paycut last year and then ended up playing lights out. I'd imagine he wants a boost as well..49ers, Lakers, A's, Stanford

I hope we ditch Vernon to the Jaguars. Dude has been a fake for years....how the fuk could he think he deserves more money? Pls go.
Edit: I would love to see what he would be like on a losing team. He would revert back to his old ways as the original progression was due to him getting shine for it. Now, let him be 3-10. It would be interesting to see.

Would be fukking hilarious if they traded this cry baby piece of chit to a perennial loser and he disappeared into the abyss like Shockey did after the Giants got rid of him.
Ship his ass to the Jaguars or Bills for 3rd rounder and call it a day.

VD was the guest writer for Peter Kings MMQB this week.
http://mmqb.si.com/2014/06/16/vernon...ack/?eref=sihp
Some highlights:
Why I’m Holding Out
In 2010 I signed a five-year, $37 million contract extension with $23 million guaranteed. It was the biggest contract for a tight end in league history. Four years later, and I’m playing at a higher level than I was then, which brings me to why I’m holding out. It’s all about getting paid what you deserve. It’s not that complicated. I want the 49ers to win the Super Bowl, and I want to be on the field this summer working toward that goal, but I have to worry about my future first. Most of my teammates and many players in the NFL understand that. A few don’t. Behind closed doors, they’ll say they’re all about the team and would run through a brick wall for the organization. But when you look closer, they’re doing things to contradict themselves. I can’t listen to anyone but my family and my advisors, because those are the people who are going to be there when football inevitably dumps me.
1. I think among the 31 NFL quarterbacks who don’t throw me passes, Russell Wilson is the best. He’s got all the tools; he has the ability to keep the play alive, and he’s very accurate with a strong arm. He exemplifies what it takes to be a winning QB in the NFL. If you asked me to choose based on record and experience, I’d take Tom Brady or Peyton Manning—but in terms of right now, my pick is Wilson.
2. I think the only thing we can do for Aldon Smith is support him and have his back and be there for him when he needs to talk. We don’t live with him, and we don’t see him on a daily basis. He has to take control and focus on doing everything the right way. He has to want it. He has to take charge.
3. I think in 10 years my goal is to host my own show, start acting, and continue to build a business empire. I look at Michael Strahan’s career as a model. I think you get there by doing what you want to do. If you know the formula to be successful as a football player, you know the formula to be successful after football. You have to be relentless.--WVU Crew--

The balls on this guy to not only call out Aldon but to also pick Russell Wilson who is a part of the rival team that has knocked his bitch ass out on numerous occasions!
This fukker wants to be like Strahan but what he doesn't realize is that PEOPLE actually LIKE Michael Strahan. Vernon is a terrible interview and a complete douche ala Tiki Barber.
Niners need to trade this idiot before camp starts.
Wait!!! I have a solution!
Cut Brandon Loyd. Trade Vernon and a 4th to Houston for Andre Johnson and a 3rd.
Run offense out of 3 WR sets with Johnson and Crabtree on the outside with Boldin working the slot.
HNNNNNNGGGGG!!!!!!

What sucks is, there is no way we get near equal value for this clown. I would hope for a third.
Of course I want him to go to a piece of sht team, but only a contender will trade for him at this age.

http://news.yahoo.com/fbi-tried-lure...185029823.html
In an effort to sniff out corruption across California a year ago, an FBI agent met with football legend Joe Montana under the guise of a potential investor for Montana’s new hotel venture next to the new San Francisco 49ers’ stadium.
Montana was reportedly unaware of the agent’s real identity. Montana was never asked to do anything illegal, but also apparently did not enter into business with the agent, due to not being interested in new investors in general.
After discovering California state Sen. Leland Yee was involved in campaign corruption and gun trafficking, the FBI decided to cast a wide net to all sorts of California investments to see if anyone else was involved in financial illegalities.
Yee’s attorney James Brosnahan revealed the meeting between Montana and the agent in an effort to show that the FBI was blindly groping to find more evidence against Yee, SFGate reports.
“In a sting, they have real reason to believe someone is committing a crime, but here they fanned out all over California to see who would talk to them about anything,” Brosnahan said.

I think the team has no choice but to finally open up the passing game. Getting ride of Davis could be a good thing on that sense. Still a good player but this is not OK.
Also I still think we get rid of LMJ. Won't get much for but if we drop VD we could be set for something decent trade wise.Free Agent...

Was gonna defend Vernon til I saw those comments. The guy is fuking losing it.
I get wanting the bigger contract everyone wants more money. Doesn't mean he'll get it. But the comments about Wilson and Aldon show he's just not thinking straight and all his I'm all about the team stuff is horse chit.
Very disappointed in him.

I'd be willing to bet that the compensation pick we'd get for Vernon would be better than whatever we'd get for him in a trade. Just depends on the cap hit.
