If the man is not attractive enough, I will be embarrassed about the status downfall that my friends (and my exes/exes' friends) will witness. As a woman I feel like the new guy always has to be an improvement on the last guy. I'd dote on him and treat him nicely in private, but embarrassed to be seen with him in public and probably act a bit aloof or resentful in those situations. Well I dont know... Maybe it's just a coincidence ... But I get treated better when I date below my league than when I date out of my league. I do treat them equal though. So what gives?

Most of my friends settled and married guys that are below their league, and they say it's because these guys treat them way better than the aesthetic guys they used to date before.

Aesthetic dudes prolly get more girls, so they're not inclined to treat you better. They have options.

Less aesthetic guys prolly have less confidence and think "holy chit ill never get a better girl." And they act accordingly.

It all depends tho, cuz by treating girls too well, the non aesthetic guy is prolly pushing them away. All depends on the frame of mind and relative circumstances.
