Definitely higher than the guys talking about playing volleyball in HS gym class. I played basketball back in high school and I had the athleticism but not the skills to play guard at the college level. I played intramural (pretty competitive not YMCA garbage) throughout college and I played against division 1 players (e.g. Eric Maynor) all the time. I've seen well conditioned athletes get debilitating leg cramps on several occasions and continuing to play only exacerbated them.

it's an injury that will take you off the court at any given moment. quit acting like a tough guy. none of your heroes wouldve stayed out there on the court during severe cramping.
"There is no athlete on the planet who could've played through those cramps," Thomas told Yahoo Sports. "Michael Jordan absolutely couldn't have played through those cramps. but you can be mobile and be effective with a severed finger or broke arm, even a broken leg. you cannot be mobile when your calf muscles go into cramping. thats why everyone that cramps, comes off the field. once muscles and tendons become involved, your motions become almost completely ****ed.

Ooo lawd the amount of people who have never played sports in this thread is high. He shouldn't have gotten cramps, but once they happen you can't really move till they go away. I remember one time I had a baseball tournement in the summer, played 2 or 3 games. Once I got home I caught a cramp trying to get out of the car, and I just had to lay there until it went away lol

I wrestled with broken ribs, a broken nose, a broken hand but cramps were the end game for me. I'd get them in my calves sometimes but not normally in a match. I don't blame LeBron for not being able to play with the cramps, none of you ****s here have probably had a bad cramp while playing a sport before.
The only thing you blame him for is not hydrating enough, but when it's that hot it can be tough to do that.Vikings--Wolves-Gophers

I never said everyone should cramp up at the same time. But no one else seemed to have any issues with it. He's supposed to be the best player on the planet and he can't stay hydrated well enough to stay in a finials game? If the training staff knows he has a issue with cramping they should of never let him get to the point where he is cramping up.

well not everyone else is packed with muscle, the leading scorer in the game, and doing the most on the floor
don't blame lebron for not hydrating, blame the billion dollar organization who couldn't keep its fukin AC on in the only NBA games that fukin matter
yes, because your high school pick up game is the same thing as the NBA finals and you have the same amount of muscle lebron has

That's the issue I have with Lebron worshipers. It's always someone else's fault. He could go 3-25 from the floor and people would blame the fact that he wore sleeves on his jersey that game or some other bullchit excuse that makes it not lebrons faultNASM CPT

I think it really depends on the person. When I'd get bad cramps, my calves would lock up and be useless for a good hour afterward even with hydration and stretching. The first 15 minutes or so, I couldn't even move my foot without someone forcing it. Also, you are likely to cramp again if you go back in too soon. There is also a difference between a little skinny soccer player and a 6'8" 260 pound dude.
I do think soccer players are better about keeping hydrated than NBA players are just because NBA players generally are playing in perfect conditions.Vikings--Wolves-Gophers

I'm not a Lebron fan by any means and personally think he's a little bitch.
With that said, any real athlete knows when you get a cramp like that, you just can't go - period. You are locked up.
Now maybe Lebron with his history didn't do enough before the game in preparation of possible cramping, but that is another story.PHILLIES/EAGLES CREW

[QUOTE=cashinout;1253820141] All I'm saying is that it was his fault for cramping up. If 8 guys out there cramped up that game it would be a different story. Once the temp started to go up in the arena he should of been hydrating like crazy. He didn't, that's his fault not anyone else's.
