Thanks a lot guys for the support through out this log and up until this point.
Overall on paper it was a successful meet. Yes I only went 6/9 and missed 501.5 twice. By the time deadlifts came around my lower back was fried and just the overall fatigue got me. No excuses at all as I need to just be stronger and finish strong.
What I am happy about is the 2 squat PRS, 450 & 468. I didn't even know I was going to go for 468. One of my buddies Colby, the guy who takes your next attempts, talked me into going for 468. He said after watching 450 that I definitely had 468. I'm definitely glad I listened and pulled the trigger. 468 is an all time PR along with a new meet PR. I finally had someone wrap my knees. A buddy who was coaching some lifters helped with wrapping my knees on each attempt. Holy sh!t, what a world of difference. The fact that he was able to really crank on my wraps and provide a tight wrap paid off. The back of my knees are dead though and I can barely walk lol.
It was awesome actually. Chris Duffin after my first squat said how great my squat looked. Coming from him, that's a huge compliment in my books.
Bench felt great. I had thought my uncle had gotten 270 but I guess when transferring the files on my SD card I missed that clip. Unfortunately he landed up deleting all the footage. Hopefully you guys believe I hit 270 with no footage lol. That is a new meet PR. With 280 I just got stuck at that sticking point, midway up on lock out. I just couldn't push through it unfortunately. Again just more motivation to get better.
Right now I just feel like a semi smashed into my lower body. My lower back is stiff and legs are shot. I wouldn't have it any other way.Last edited by Anthony21; 07-11-2015 at 08:08 PM.

Well done man. That is a big squat. Took some balls to get under that and blow it away. 500 is right around the corner man. That 281 was close....real close. Bit more speed off the chest and it a good lift. Deadlift....I think you could have ground through the third, but it would have been iffy. Meets are different that the gym for many reasons and wait times, fatigue, atmosphere, comfort, etc all play into it.
I am proud of you man. Made the call to man up, mend things and get back on the right track training. The squat and bench are moving well and the deadlift will soon. When this whole package shines on the right meet....you will make some noise man. Again, well done and continue the path.Strongman Training Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=138026593

God damnit the forums have been pissing me off lately...
On the desktop now whenever I go on your journal the "help us improve this page" survey pops up and I've tried everything and it won't fuking go away, no way to click out of it or do play your video or anything... On mobile can't see your video...
Well from reading the discription here on mobile at least, nice work. Glad that Colby pushed Ya to go after that 468, that's awesome.
Wonder who wrapped your knees... CJ maybe?
Edit: God damnit searched out the video on YouTube and wrote out this long ass response only to accidentally click the cancel button with my fat fingers after... God damnit! I'll have to type it up again another timeLast edited by adamsz; 07-11-2015 at 11:41 PM.

Really impressive squat, Ant. You smoked 468 like a second attempt. I think you'll be knocking on the door of 500 soon.
Bench was solid and deadlift could've gone better, but sometimes it's hard to pick numbers. 500 is a milestone and I fully understand going for it.
You certainly left it all on the platform, got some PRs, didn't get injured and impressed Chris Duffin with your squat form, so I'd say it was a successful meet. I'll be looking forward to following your upcoming training cycle.Lifting Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=147159883

It was Jeron from Savage Gym who did my wrapping.
Here's my response I dropped on YouTube.
+zenmindgreenthumbful What's up Adam! I know bb.com has an issue if you use the normal skin. You have to switch to the black skin so you don't get that stupid survey pop up.
I was really happy with my squats and definitely glad I listened to Colby.
I grip the bar with my pinks on the rings. I know I can get 280 so that's definitely going to be something we hammer away at to get there.
My back was fried by the time deadlifts came around and just overall fatigue bit me in the ass. Definitely a lot of good things to take and work on so when October comes I can blow **** up even more.
500 is a milestone but I already hit that milestone, at a meet & in training. Granted training is different than a meet. I just was fried at that point but it's just an opportunity to learn and get better/stronger for the next one.My training log: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=178464441

Thanks a lot man I really appreciate it.
I'm really happy with how my squat went. Funny story....
I left the meet after my third attempt on Deads. I figured I didn't win any award with a 1,212 total. Guess I did since I was the only 220 lifter so I got a first place trophy. But I was also called to do a random drug test, first time i've had to do one. So Chris Duffin messaged me on FB to come down to EPC to do it, told him cool i'll be there.
So did my piss test, got my trophy and me and him got to talking. He says he expects me to squat 500 at the next meet in October. I told him well I better get back to work quick then.
When someone like Duffin says he expects you to squat 500 that lights a major fire under me. Plus seeing things like this from him...

I'm not really there for trophies or to win. I'm just there to smash some PRS and continue to get better.
Don't know. I trust the process and whatever Wade has in store for me I'm down for. I know i'll be working on getting a bit more behind the bar with my pull from what we've discussed. So pretty much making some small adjustments to my form and technique. My training log: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=178464441
