Good work Ant. Bench seems to be doing well.
Always nice to see some Slingshot work too. I may do that for some overload variety next week.

Bench looking good, SS rep looked easy. I plan on incorporating the SS into my routine more as well.

Personally from a mental aspect you need to embrace the grind...Stop saying this/those "Suck". Take each session as an opportunity to move that much closer to your end goal. I am bad at this as well but I know when I embrace the grind things always are better for it.

It's not just directed at Ant really either. I was talking with someone the other day and they hated front squats but at the same time their squat was stalling. I suggested giving them a go and they refused. My coach shared some wise words with me "Get comfortable with being uncomfortable".

Setup is improving in squat. Keep working on getting it higher and staying more vertical and that back pain will subside.
Nice work buddy{{**DIRTY SOUTH CREW**}}

I had never done fronts before working with Wade. I was NOT thrilled about trying them for the first time either. But could you see it.... "Gee, Wade. I have never done front squats so I'm just going to skip them." I'm sure that would go over really well. I just practiced with the bar like anything else. I think some men forget it is ok to start with the bar.

LOL
The grind is everything...it's what really separates people that lift at meets and competitors. It's hard...there is nothing easy about it and the things we do prepare us for that. It's why the training is designed as it is. It's not just about the 3 lifts but preparing you for a meet and how all the lifts work synergistically...is that a word? anyway, you get the idea.
Frustration is part of it but, 2 sessions is early and quick...no need to be frustrated especially when the weight comes right up. We keep working. It it were that easy, we'd just show up and compete and never train.Squat: 1,040

Thanks man.
It was from a Mexican store.
Thanks a lot Un!
I definitely embrace the work ethic it takes to reach the goals I have. Sometimes it's easy for me to get frustrated as I want to perform to the capabilities I know I can. I have to realize that when making the adjustments we're making it's going to take time.
Thanks man. I'll keep this in mind for next session as my lower back was fried. I did some spinal decompression post workout which seemed to help.
Someone has there super soaker pistol out.
Thanks for always believing in me bro.

Quick update. I'm in California right now on a spontaneous family road trip. We left Saturday at 3am and got here at 630 pm yesterday.
I'll be down here for a week and will have my training footage from last week up when I get back home.
I don't know if I'll be able to train this upcoming week. There is a fitness center that has a 7 day pass. I didn't bring any of my gym gear with me. Plus I don't want my wife complaining that I'm selfish and all that bs.My training log: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=178464441

I don't like deloads lol. I feel weird being off my routine. The fitness center opener like at 8 or so.
It's definitely some good Grub. I just hate being off my routine.
