Usually go when quiet, but will brave the weights section even when busy for glute bridge (favourite).
Looks like I am having sex with the bar/feels like it looks like I am.
Younger guys, I assume late teens early 20s do observe. Plenty of other moves just as revealing (?), but this in particular seems to be the worst. Not so much creepy, but makes me feel really embarrassed, or like I am being made fun of.
Anyone have this with particular exercises? What to do? Other than travelling further for female only gym?

I cant see how theres anything you can do about this if you want keep doing this movement, and you should because its awesome. Maybe wear bigger clothes i guess? Start your workout with the bridges, in a big long tshirt that covers your bum, then take it off once you move on? Obviously, with something underneath.

I can never see who's looking at me while I'm doing hip thrusts or bridges. But I'm almost positive that it doesn't look pretty. As long as they're not putting out YouTube videos of me looking like a fool, I'm fine. Doesn't bother me one bit.
Actually there was someone doing bicep curls behind me the other day when I was squatting. I don't mind, but don't complain if I hit you with my butt!

More often than not, when I've done glute bridges outside of the gym I first learnt them in (lots of people did it there, so the regulars got desensitised to it), I've gotten strange looks, and comments from people who I had any kind of rapport with. I just tell them I'm training for my role in a porno. Everyone has a good laugh. The end. I'm not sure how people will react to a woman saying that, though.
There's a certain amount of sexual exposure inherently present in bridges/hip thrusts, hyperextensions, pretty much all deadlift variations, and bent over rows. It does take a bit of getting used to it. For me, I basically got over the feeling that I was going to become someone's prison-bi7ch every time I did a deadlift or row by deciding that if anyone ever did try anything fancy, I'd beat them to death with whatever weights I was using. And then that feeling of exposure was gone.SQ 172.5kg. BP 105kg. DL 200kg. OHP 62.5kg @ 67.3kg

I can totally relate! Especially since I've switched from doing glute bridges to hip thrusts (which I find way more effective lol). I just roll my bench onto a nice quiet corner in my gym and proceed. And I don't make eye contact with anyone in the mirror. Even if I can tell if someone's looking with my peripheral vision. Hahah

If it bother you that much, ask them if they're mirin. Or make eye contact with them while thrusting. Should make them uncomfortable enough to stop staring..... notsrs

I do weighted glute bridges all the time and I don't really feel like anyone finds it necessarily "awkward"...lol. I might've gotten stares here and there but usually I'm staring up at the ceiling/making sure the barbell isn't digging into my legs so I don't notice anyone looking.
Personally, for me, cable kickbacks are the most awkward to do in my gym. The cable machines are directly infront of a big mirror and are basically the center of focus in my gym's weight room the way that it is positioned. So on those days I make sure to wear loose shorts...haha.
But I would never stop doing an effective exercise for the sake of being more .. uh.. conservative?? I actually showed my gym crush the glute bridge exercise the other day because he wanted some new hamstring exercises...now you got me thinking that he wasn't really looking for hamstring exercises after all...lol.
