Hi
I've read some articles that said we can eat from 10 to 40 grams of protein in a meal and mote than it will loss by excrete. I have two questions:
1- which one is true for eating protein in a meal? 10,20,30 or40 grams in a meal?
2- How much time should be between meals?
for example, we know one litter of milk has about 7grams of whey protein and 28grams of casein. If someone drinks one litter milk after workout, what happens in his body?
I've read in many articles our body can absorb only 10g of protein in an hour, and also the whey protein can be digested with 10g per hour rate and casein with 6.2g per hour. So in first hour, 7grams of whey and 3grams of casein will absorbed and in next hour 6g of casein? and it takes another 3hours to absorb all of its protein(A total of 5 hours)?
Also a bad thing I read in an article was that it said the transit time of something we eat in gut is very important. And because of fast transition of liquid things our body only has 1.5hours to digest and absorb milks protein, so we lose about 17g of its protein!!!(I must mention article was about whey supplements, and wrote whey supplements uses as liquid state, so its transition time is 1.5 and ....)
What do you think/know guys?

Your body is smarter than people give it credit for. You're splitting hairs it looks like (I didn't read all of the details), just eat to your target and don't worry about consuming X amount of protein in one sitting because someone said your body can only digest so much at once. Go eat a 16oz steak and tell me if you **** out whole pieces of steak because you couldn't digest/absorb it.

Digestion doesn't happen fully in an hour or two. Think of last time you ate corn. How long did it take before you saw it when you took a dump. 36 hours? 48 hours? Digestion is a slowly occurring process that takes place through a large part of your digestive system, your body is very efficient and does not normally blow undigested food out of your butt if you eat too much protein. Eat to satiate your hunger and meet your lifestyle and you should be just fine, no need to overthink it.

Is that because while your body may not digest it immediately, it will do so eventually? Just curious, because I constantly hear an argument against this from the vegan that works in my office who's constantly telling me that I shouldn't eat anything with over 20g of protein per meal.
If possible, would you be able to elaborate upon why the body can do this? Not criticizing, or disputing, just asking for further information if possible.
I do regularly eat over 20g protein per meal, but I do so only following the knowledge that I've picked up. I do not understand the science behind it fully.

I was hoping this thread was people trying to see how much protein they could actually eat in an hour
Like just filled with YouTube videos 1 hour long of people eating chicken washing it down with why shakes seeing if they could force them selves to eat 500gs of protein in an hour
Just for the fun of trying itmy blogs

eat some meat every 4-5 hours you will be fine. who says you cant eat more than 10-40 grams protein in a meal ? what if you eat 100 grams ? you think that protein gets digested and dissapears in 1 hour ? red meat can take up to 48 hours to digest for example. eating all protein in one meal is maybe extreme but if you are eating 3 meals , its good enough

I got into the best shape of my life by cramming 160g protein in a 2 hour window. The more you eat in a sitting, the slower your food digests. We have a process called the ileal brake which slows digestion. Think more in daily/weekly numbers. Eat when you want within your caloric/macro goal while optimizing mood, satiety, and gym performance

Well, for starters, doesn't it just hurt you inside when somebody is banging their head against the proverbial wall and no matter what you say or do, they just don't seem to get it? Of course, I probably should be ignoring people like that, but I feel like if we're going to say things with such certainty at least let it be the correct information!
And thank you for helping to provide that information to me
