Everyone was just posting about how this spurs team is too old and beat up. Now wilbon gave the lebron stans something to run with, all of of sudden this 2014 spurs team is better than every other in the 90s?

Wilbon might be right in this case. The Spurs aren't just a flash in the pan team. They've been championship calibre for over a decade now and boast 3 HOFers and one of the best coaches ever in the game. Closest thing that MJ faced to a team like that was probably the Jazz.
Personally I'm sad that Reggie's Pacers (coached by Bird) only played MJ that one time... because I think that THAT was a team that could have taken him down given another shot.

Heat fans once again exposing their lack of awareness of Basketball history. ****in lol at Ginobli and Parker being top 50 players.
Did you start watching in 2012 or 2013?
People have been saying this Spurs team was done every year for the past 5 years and now people want to crown them as the best Finals team ever? GTFOH. The Spurs are a solid team and look to be the best team this year but they aren't close to some of those old teams that Jordan faced.
Shaq and Penny would do work against the Spurs.***Georgia Crew***

No way would Parker run circles around Stockton.. Stockton was the better passer, stealer and shooter. Parker is the better scorer and better at driving to the basket. It''d be a toss up.
You also do realize Stockton is the all-time leader in assists and steals by a wide margin right? The guy was a great player. Most fundamentally sound PG to ever play the game. In his prime (not 1997 and 1998) no question I'd take Stockton over Parker.
Also the Spurs are not an athletic team. They really wouldn't have a huge advantage in that department. Physically, I give the advantage to the Jazz because of Malone. The guy was built like a tank...Malone would give the Spurs a ton of problems...
Not sure who would of won the series but for Wilborn to act like it's a guarantee the Spurs would win, no way do I agree with that and this is coming from a Spurs fan. Funny Wilbon says that after he tweeted this not too long ago

OKC has done more than won a game; they found themselves...remind anybody of 2 years ago when they came back from 0-2 to beat Spurs in 6?
Remember this? That was a great series...

Were any of you even old enough to actually watch basketball in the 90s??? The style of play every team ran is similar to what the Spurs do today, and the defense was WAY better back then.
current era:
- size
- speed
- athleticism
90s:
- intelligence
- defense
- fundamentals
- teamwork
Don't really know who would win, but saying the 90s were "watered down" is fking laughable. the early 2000s were watered down garbage solo ball. It's getting better now.-Chicagoan Crew-

lol its funny
one second its: this western conference is the best conference to ever exist of all time and every team in this conference is the GOAT team that would chit all over miami in the in the first round
next second: the 62 win Spurs suck, easy conference, out of their prime, no real competition
make up your mind, the finals are almost here and the straws are getting shorter!

wtf are you talking about? you are taking the eastern conference being one of the worst of all time and making the leap that the contrapositive of that argument is that the western conference is the greatest of all time. how funny. please answer this question: are the spurs in their prime?

so no sports miscer ever has said that the western conference is amazing? stfu
what does it matter if they're in their prime? They won 62 games, first seed and have a bench that can score 50 in a play off game. They are the elite of the elite with probably the GOAT coach in existence
oh right because tim duncan and ginobli aren't in their prime, that must mean the entire team just sucks cawks all day
