    Heavy RDL's safe to do?

    I was wondering if its ok to do lower rep, heavy weights for Romanian deadlifts. I've been doing them in the 8-12 range but now that the weight is getting heavier, I can tell it puts alot of pressure on the lower back.

    Yeah if you have lower back problems I wouldn't go too heavy. Mine always feel like **** when i do. Its a tough exercise

    Try switching to 5 reps, might save ur back a little, so ur not doing so much on ur lower back.

    Yes. Ab work super-setted or following, I have found helps to alleviate stress/tension in my erectors. Ab work of the leg raise variety. Haven't tried anything else.
