Don't get me wrong, I love lifting and making gains
BUT
sometimes I wish I could go back to being a a lil pudgy fugtart who ate cool ranch dorritos while watching cartoon network or eating mac n cheese while playing FIFA.
Love lifting and making progress, but brb forever chasing the pump and never being satisfied with oneself, as well as tracking down what I ate. Being carefree with the body had it's perks once in a while.
inb4 ectos, damn y'all
inb4 do it once in a while, I do have a veg out day but it's not the same.

lifting gets seriously old and boring
probably more of a worthwhile pursuit to develop confidence from sources other than lifting, because lets be honest that's all its good for
girls don't give a ****
its not necessarily "healthy"
socially isolating
but its not that easy to get confidence purely through personality alone"I've known Francois for over ten years now, he's got it all under control. He's probably got everything planned down, to the very. Last. Minute."

No.
Ate 1 box of ice cream sandwiches pwo, 1 double bacon cheeseburger from a local restaurant, 3 cans of pringles, 2 bags of M&Ms, 3 bags of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, 2 bags of ruffles cheese and sour cream chips, 1 bag of kit kats and 1 bag of twizzlers on Saturday.
Then Iate 2 bags of reese's peanut butter cups, 1 can of cheese pringles and 1 bag of pringles during the movie X-Men: The Last Stand.
I'm still getting leaner (old avi) and my only cardio is 5 minutes on the stairmaster.**Wetbreasts will make it still**

yeah, lifting helps you gain confidence. Course there are people that love it and use it to relieve stress like I do sometimes. Helps a lot with confidence cuz look good naked and with clothes on, feelsgoodman. But sometimes just want to crack open a soda with pizza and mow down without feeling like chit.

No, you gigantic *******.

****totypes aren't real and have been disproven. I actually gain as easy as I lose bodyfat, muscles don't shrink, catabolism is overrated and propelled to the fitness community so we can purchase BCAAs and proteins.
I don't use neither also when I cut hard. No muscle loss so far.**Wetbreasts will make it still**

I know I do. Although I'm far from where I'd like to be... It's hard to not be self conscious about your body now. We've entered into a world where that's all that matters. I do agree with it being socially isolating though. I don't mind it too much though. Would rather be lifting on a Friday night than spending all my money at the bar.

yeah ikr, brb feeling bloated but have people tell you you look lean. It's just a never ending goal, but yeah lifting on a friday night is pretty sweet not gonna lie. Empty gym and those who are there are all ditching their friends or are FA but it's ok cuz we are all in it together.

hnnng yes, and having to turn down food from friends or when people don't want a piece of food and are going to throw it out. Like "anyone want my leftover chicken fingers" and there's like 3 left. Fuark, had to turn down a package of snickers the other day, but it's good night sweet prince on the holidays, like to the point where I never want to touch food again.

Yeah that lifestyle sounds great but these days I only have cheat meals once every 4-8 weeks because it's never as good as I think it's gonna be. I always just want to go back to my regular diet immediately after, and I usually only get like chipotle for my cheat meal.
edit: ^ how long have you been lifting/dieting op? i've been doing it for like 5 years now and honestly you eventually reach a point where you become completely resistant to that stuff. that kind of stuff just doesn't even phase me..i never have those moments of "oh i only intended on having one piece of pizza and then i saw the breadsticks, and there goes the rest of the pizza, and then i was offered free food and couldn't turn down and..." brb 5000 calories.
keep going op..grow impervious!Last edited by Glutes4DaSloots; 05-28-2014 at 11:11 AM.

yeah same here. also pretty much got disillusioned with the whole bodybuilding thing, as when i was just getting started i always thought "oh jacked guys are so cool, when i grow up i dont wanna do anything else but the gym" and then i found out that most of the aesthetic guys you see at the gym are broke, FA, and got nothing else but lifting
pretty sad and also i don't get that rush when i watch those bodybuilding motivation videos anymore. i remember at first they were so amazingly inspiring, now it's just like wow dude there's other things in life apart from the gym.
that dont mean i will stop (edit) lifting, in fact i enjoy it but im just gonna lift for fun mainly. i spent like 3 months doing boring workouts (starting strength) because everywhere online they told me "i had to do it." also, if there was a lift i didn't enjoy i had to force myself to do it.
now i really focus on form rather than weight, and changed my overall mentality away from the "lift heavy or go home". i still do a proper routine though
edit; basically i thought that getting jacked was going to solve my problems in life.no gains crew

Definitely miss it but I think once you been lifting a few years there ain't no going back.
The last three or four reps is what makes the muscle grow. This area of pain divides the champion from someone else who is not a champion. That's what most people lack, having the guts to go on and just say they'll go through the pain no matter what happens."
