The Gallardo will never be a classic. Not only was it a forgettable model but the early models were arguably one of the ugliest lambos designed.

Not trying to take away from OPs happiness. If he likes it that's all that matters. And he's still rockin a Lambo for a whip which is sweetness. Props to op. But Gallardo will never be considered a 'classic' Lamborghini.

Thanks for the advice and your right. I had two modded vipers previous to this and my family has always been into cars, so Ive got some experience with faster vehicles. Both my previous vipers were considerably quicker, but this is 10000x more fun to drive.

I saw the yellow at a rally I was at a few years ago and was set on it. Plus my wife loved it.

Lambo made 2 color yellows for that year. Giallo Halys and Giallo Midas. The Halys is bright flat yellow. The Midas is a pearlescent yellow that changes color depending on what angle the sun hits it. Its striking in person and Id take some shots of it showing the effect today, but its cloudy as hell out here and rained earlier.

I just had to get emissions done on it had it out for about 2 hours. First place couldn't get it on the machine because it was too low so had to drive down about 30 minutes on the highway. On the way back it was dead traffic and the attention was ridiculous. Camera phone after camera phone, people asking questions, hanging out the window to take videos.

Im not bagging the F360 at all as I think its an awesome car and driving it was an awesome experience. The only thing that really disappointed me was the power and age. I think its starting to look slightly dated, but still beautiful. The Ferrari is more refined and feels more nimble than the gallardo. What the gallardo lacks in maneuverability it more than makes up for in power.

Service on the F360 is also far greater than the G. Once Audi took over for lambo they pretty much got a lot of the gremlins and major service issues figured out. The gallardo feels pretty bullet proof and has that reputation. The ferrari is pretty much the opposite. Some guys have lots of luck with them and other guys have 5 figure service bills regularly. I guess its luck of the draw.

I think the 430 is an awesome car and REAAAALLLY considered stretching my budget for one. However, Im really happy with the gallardo and glad I went the way I did. I think the gallardo is more youthful and radical while the F430 is more refined and elegant.

Much respect for accomplishing your goals. Once i get my retirement plan straight & student loans paid off I'd love to pick up one of these beauties. I'm living on about 150/year pre-tax with no wife or kids. Is it reasonable to expect to be able to afford one? Including upkeep*

Honestly, I wish I could tell you I had some special method, but I really don't. The only thing I could tell you is be persistent at working to achieve your goals and try to be the best at whatever it is that you do.

I guess you could say time was on my side and helped me build up money quickly from a young age. I was accepted to pharmacy school straight from high school and completed school at 23. I have no undergrad as many of my colleagues do and I had a decent scholarship to attend pharmacy school. I signed a six figure salary at 22 with a large sign on bonus to work for a retail pharmacy. I was living at home, with a six figure income with almost no debt and began to accrue money pretty quickly and literally didn't know what to do with it. A family friend ran a private hedge fund that used to invite me to his office to help me learn about finance when I was in high school. I learned quite a bit from him. When the market was unraveling in 2008 we reconnected at his sisters wedding and we began bouncing ideas off one another. He served as a mentor for me and I started to invest and trade really aggressively as I didn't have much to lose if I blew my account up at that point in my life. At 23-26 or so I lived home and banked everything. At the same time I was promoted to managing a pharmacy staff and rebuilt a team at an outpatient pharmacy and was promoted/rewarded pretty well for it.

I met my wife when I was around 26 and we moved out to a small apartment and I continued to save very aggressively. Both of us are good at saving money and keeping debt to an absolute minimum. We also bought a house last month. I was looking to spend far far more for our house, but my wife wanted to keep it small and thus we did. With some of the money left over I bought the lambo. We plan on living here for about 5 years and then turning it into a rental property.

Probably the things that helped me accrue money the best is delaying gratification for as long as possible and living far below your means. If you lived like a college student once before in your life and knew how to make things work, you can surely do it again. Try to keep that lifestyle going for as long as you can. Invest wisely and invest young. Time is on your side that way. Short term the market is designed to burn you. Long term helps move things more to your side.

This. Investments and being smart are key. Less fun now, more to play with later. Can't expect to live life however you want without making some kind of sacrifice to get to your goals. What you put in is what you get.

Something I learned and know personally for a fact that I will do is, I don't plan on enjoying money when I begin to get it. Always pay off debt first and try your hardest to do so, then let the racks stack in.

People graduate, start going out twice a week, get an expensive apartment downtown, pay 2k for loans for school, then another 500+ for car, and so on.

Leaves them with a few hundred to put in the bank if anything. Don't expect to get a lambo easily if you live the way I mentioned people do after graduation. You can still live well and happily, without going overboard.

Good to know you achieved your goal, enjoy it man!

Even being the highest produced Lambo ever there were still only approximately 1400 per year produced. All OP has to do is hang on to it.
