Try to make sense of what you see and about what makes the universe exist. Be curious. And however difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do, and succeed at. It matters that you don't just give up." -Stephen Hawking

Listed my SV on craigslist on Saturday and had a few people look at it already. I'm finalizing a deal for $3k for it tomorrow night. Think I'm gonna pick up a Daytona.

Do I buy a 2001 1200cc Suzi bandit as my first street bike? Riding dirtbikes for 15 years, racing, endures etc. Not sure mayne, I have throttle control and discipline. Just seems big yknow.

That's my only concern is the weight. I've dealt with torque 4 cycles, peaky 2 cycles, and everywhere in between on the dirt and trails, also some mild track racing. But the heaviest bike I've ridden was 320lbs. You can pick up the back tire to turn it around in the garage lol..
I believe truly that I can control the power, the weight, may take some time getting used to. 1200's weight 500lbs wet I believe.Everyone can talk chit on the internet until they encounter a 6'7 framed Dorian Yates barndoor boeing747 turtle back freak of nature who drives over 200+ on the autobahn

Sup brahs.
Any recommendations on a decent first bike? Srs. I've been told to look at the Ninjette 300 or a honda cbr250.

I started on a Ninja 300 last summer and have no regrets. Some people will tell you you'll get bored with it, but I never have. In fact I now have a 1200cc Harley and still have just as much fun on the Ninja. Great gas milage, cheap insurance, $5k brand new, can do 100 mph, nimble as fuark, and sexy as hell.
