Guys when i got bike tuned up a bit a couple weeks ago they said my chain was worn and i should get a new one as soon as i could

they didn't mention anything about sprocket

however when i got new jacket today

guy at motorcycle store says they almost always recommend doing new sprocket with chain; thought it was odd they didnt tell me to do that too


is this true? do i need to get new sprocket too? should i?

Yes, you should usually replace them together unless one or the other is a lot newer. It's common to do them both at the same time.

When I ride i try to clutch up about 20 times a day sometimes back to back .

You probably suck at wheelies so bad that you think your clutch is burned up when really you just suck at wheelies.

Mirin road choice. Kind of wish I lived on one of the coasts. So many good routes. How do long distances feel on the SV? Yeah call your exes. That always ends well.

Lomg distance on the SV is fine... angus gets used to 6-9 hr rides after the first 2-3 of the yr. Brah I bought the bike form put a DIY gel pad in the seat so dats in mane.

I ride with a gsxr and cbr brah... they are always down for super long rides like this so I feel pretty lucky, most riders I talk to are only interested in short squid rides... I feel lucky to know these brahs who are down for a crazy adventure whenever. (no homo)

I love this coast brah, I have countless ~6 hr rides that go through epic VT/NH/MA/RI/NY roads... too much hnngggg to handle.

Sv seems easy to ride, more upright positioning, but still has clip-ons. Mirin the long distance brahs. I am used to riding my Harley. Can do long trips with no problems.

I'm pretty sick of the stock seat, gets painful after a couple hours. Considering a gel seat but I don't do long rides anyway.

Had a weird issue with my R6 the other day

went outside to my bike and it wouldnt start. the gas light lit up like normal but all the other lights were dead and wouldnt turn over. ok battery is dead? i tried several times to no avail.
so anyway i waited 20 minutes for my dad and i gave him the key and it started just fine. had no issues since. this bike only has 1900 miles on it. there doesnt seem to be any loose connections or anything so not sure what caused this.

Went to look at new leathers, managed to blag a test ride on a ZX10R... Loved it to say the least, will definitely be my next bike when the time comes that I feel a thousand is necessary.

might not be your clutch could have bent a gear selector fork or ground the teeth on the cog down no way on hell have you destroyed two wet clutches that fast
