Yea Marie, that mild white meat on walleye is really good. I like fish as long as it doesn't taste like fish...lol. What a crappy day here huh? Did a little landscaping around the yard until I got too wet and said enough. Decided to go the gym for a run...just wasn't into it tonight, so came home early. Wifey was happy for that...

Even though I live alone I figured I should still do some grilling so I grilled chicken burgers and chicken hotdogs. A couple buddies ended up coming over so we all ate and drank a couple beers. Tomorrow I am going to a cookout so I'll get plenty of proteins there too!
Hope it tasted good!Have you done something today to take yourself to the next level?

Nice pron!!! I eat a lot of wild caught fish. We have walleye in several of the lakes here in Tennessee. My neighbor is good at catching them but doesn't share them as much as I would like.
I am not a fan of trout. It has too much of the unpleasant fishy taste.
I hope this thread receives more grilling posts tomorrow.
Repped for good thread and post.[]---[] Equipment crew member #51 []---[]

LOL, I had an awesome beef burger yesterday while I was out and about, but at home I usually do ground chicken, tastes good. My buddies that stopped over and ate them was surprised they liked the chicken burgers.
I also eat turkey scrapple sometimes because it is better for you than regular scrapple. And I eat chicken sausages sometimes instead of regular sausages, haha. I like a variety I guess?Have you done something today to take yourself to the next level?

It is a regional meat, best suggestion is to not look it up, and if ever given the chance to try it then do it! The best way is to cook it in thin slices and make it crispy...scrapple egg and cheese sandwich is the way to go. I don't eat it a lot because it is not very healthy for you.
I add some pepper and stuff to my ground chicken or ground turkey, tastes good man.Have you done something today to take yourself to the next level?

I bolded that part because the question is what is healthy for you? My mom fries everything with lard, there was never any margarine(only real butter) at the table and none of my family was obese or had problems with cholesterol. When I married my wife, it took some convincing, but if we fry anything, we use lard. I also consume an average of 20 eggs a week. We eat a lot of beef, but the majority we raise ourselves (always have) and the eggs I eat are purchased from neighbors down the road. I'm 52, and the only medication I am on is Prilosec for the tummy. Probably because I dip a lot of snuff.

I don't have all the answers for this, I know everyone is different with genetics and such. For myself, I just try to stay active, I have a physical job, and I try to eat semi-healthy moderate eating. I figure if I try to do all of that then it has to be better than being a couch potato and eating crap, right?
That is great you and your family have good healthy genetics, that is awesome. As far as I know my family has decent genetics but I still like to make good food choices most of the time.
And true!
Now someone post some grilling pics, I didn't take any of mine tonight, sorry!Have you done something today to take yourself to the next level?
