As the title suggests, I was wondering where to start, I was wondering if anyone knows of any online sources that could help me?
I dont really want to have to go to college/university as its more of an interest than a career choice.
Thanks guys

first u w anna go to a archaeology trainer in a major city, i think its really cheap to learn it u can do it at level 20 i think? ok once uve done that its easiest if u have a flying mount 310% speed to get to places very quickly. if u just keep grinding u should eventually get to outland, northrend, back to azeroth then to pandaria and u should have maxed it out by then. it takes a long time but kind of fun if u talk to friends or do something else while ur doing it because its A LOT of flying. cheers friends

I've got just the thing for you brah. Whenever you get a chance you should come over. I've got this large bone that you could inspect.
Not serious. I would say go to school for it, or maybe speak with a counselor about it, but if you are not interested in making a career from it and just doing it as a hobby then maybe look up some places where they let visitors dig/look for fossils. Google archaeology as a hobby and stuff like that.

As someone going into it myself, Archaeology is kinda something you have to have a piece of paper for. They aren't gonna let your dirty hands touch those precious artifacts unless you've got a degree 99% of the time. If you just want to learn about it then first you have to realize is that it's just another sub-strain of anthropology, where you learn about other (usually ancient) cultures through their possessions. The most straightforward thing you could do is find a culture that interests you, get your background on it from Wikipedia or something and start glancing through their pottery, weaponry, tools ect. and see what conclusions you can draw about their style/use.
And when you're bored of it just pretend that one day you'll get to be Indiana Jones and let the delusions perservereLast edited by Kiwisaki; 05-24-2014 at 02:53 PM.
