Anyone know anything about these? just recently found out about them. they appear to be commercial grade airdyne bikes? I just picked up an airdyne and have only used it once lol. I know they are tried and true but I have this really annoying character trait. Its a trait that usually forces me to spend money on hobbies that is not necessarily smart but makes me happy nonetheless. Ive looked at the assault airbike but it looks too much like the airdyne. Now this stairmaster zephyr i recently stumbled upon looks pretty beefy!

They weigh about 125 pounds so it's about 30-40 pounds heavier than my older airdyne... I doubt the backrest is useful for any sort of hiit unless you lean back during rest sets. Apparently they stopped making them but a local guy can get me a new one for 800 bucks. For now I'm on the fence. The assault air bike doesn't weigh as much but costs 200 bucks more. I wonder if this thing is built sturdier than the assault? I assume both bikes are made in China?

Do you bros know if the airdyne bikes are made to wobble as you use them? I noticed when going full blast on mine that it rocks side to side pretty significantly. I will note that I'm just shy of 300 lbs. It looks as though the bottom feet are not completely square with the concrete. I'm thinking of getting some 2" square tubing and making some new stabilizer bottom rails. It will be cheap and easy to do they just bolt on in place of the existing ones.
I'm not sure the Stairmaster will be anywhere close to and upgrade worth the 800 dollars up on the airdyne I have.MY PROGRESS PICS 330lbs-50%bf to 225lbs 19.5%bf

It's been a long time since I've used one, but I don't recall it wobbling much if at all.
It may be that your floor is uneven. Try moving the Airdyne a little bit to find a more even patch of floor or shim the feet (or adjust them if they're adjustable) so that it sits more solidly on the floor.
Building new rails might be worth doing too, but this might not help as much as you'd think if the floor is uneven. (You'll still need to shim it.)
I'm not sure the Stairmaster will be anywhere close to and upgrade worth the 800 dollars up on the airdyne I have.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #35

The only reason that they should wobble is if the improper form is used pedaling (ie. not pedaling circles), you may want to concentrate on the movement bringing the pedals back up, as opposed to just mashing down. This will keep your body straighter, and stop most of the side to side wobble. Good luck.
