Starting a new DUP cycle Wasn't focused on bench, but the weight didn't feel that bad. Squats moved fast.

Bench was rough. Woke this morning again to an allergy attack, my right eye was all irritated and swollen. Also woke up very groggy. Got started on my bench but really had a hard time focusing as well as with my strength. The top sets (285lbs) was supposed to be 285lbs @ 1 @ 2 and 285lbs @ 3 @ 1. Without a spotter and just with feeling off I didn't want to risk the 285lbs @ 3 set, so instead I did 3 extra 285lbs singles. What didn't help as well, if you look at the video, the gym owner's dog was there. As I was about to unrack during one of the singles he comes right by my head and starts sniffing my ear! Fortunately it was before I had lifted off, but as is I couldn't focus and then during my sets I was aware of him walking around me.

Seems like that would be a bit of distraction, does he bring it in often?

Don't really know. He rarely ever opens up, only when the normal person can't open. The few times he has opened up he has brought his dog. I would think it would be a huge liability, especially since the dog could have caused me to drop 285lbs right on my chest

We went to Boomerang Bay, a water park inside Great America. Pretty much spent the whole day at the Wave Pool and it was pretty fun

By the way, weighed myself Saturday morning before training and I weighed 174 ... haven't been that light in 6 years lol

Decent DL workout. Weight didn't feel too bad. Block Pulls called for 3 sets. We don't have any blocks at the gym so I have been doing in the rack using the safety pins. Problem is, each time I drop the weight down to the pins it shakes the entire rack and vibrates through the bar, which was actually starting to cause discomfort in my wrist and lower back. Decided to scrap the last two sets, will figure something out for the following week.

Solid bench session. Left shoulder is a bit achy/sore but I was able to work around. Worked up to 275lbs for AMRAP, probably had another 1-2 reps left in me but without a spotter needed to play it safe.

Still holding my own on the leaderboard, but more people joining means more competition (bring it on!). I would have to say though that based on some of the reps posted some of the guys are grossly under their working max. For example, for yesterday you were to record to your max reps on your last DL set (which is 75% of your working 1RM). This is after doing all your DL work working up to 90% 1RM. The leader managed 27 reps on his DL AMRAP set, guessing that wasn't even close to 75% of his 1RM lol.

Nah, that is not what I am talking about. With the FB group people from the community will frequently go on there and ask for recommendations for services (plumber, landscaping, auto mechanic, etc...). You get real time feedback from members of your community (good and bad). It is much better then reading reviews from some app.

With their pitching I wouldn't count on a late September collapse ...
