Anywho.
As much as I don't like the Call of Duty series, Advanced Warfare actually looks pretty fckin' cool.

Just when I thought it was impossible for COD to be any more of a noob fest

I think I have outgrown the COD series. That looked like fun to watch, but terrible to play. It used to be about tactics and positioning. Now it seems like anyone can kill you from anywhere with anything. The whole time I was watching I was thinking about how terrible the experience would have been for most of the people that got killed by the shenanigans.

Those jump-boosts are usually fun for me in games. Point and click crew checking in dough. Unreal tournament had low gravity levels, and ET:QW had high-altitude launch packs that you could pick up.
Plus that melee combat looks ferocious.
Ability to evade is an important balance. Don't know if this game has vehicles, but the gameplay looks fast enough for COD.There's no rule that says the dog can't play.

How is the community on DOTA? I'm getting fed up with the toxic little afk turds on LoL.

lol ^this
I'm not turned off by it, but I'm not turned off by it. Like... Margery Tyrell is much hotter with a full head of hair. I'd still do her with shaved sides, but I want to do her more with all her hair.
All of the CoD trailers look pretty fckin' cool. That has never been an issue. It is about how the actual game is.
The inclusion of Chris Sabian seems like the best part of a game that I'll never play.-

The franchise started a long time ago, I don't even know what game it was and certainly never played it.
I didn't start until World at War, which did happen to be a WWII era setting. (though I did go backwards and play COD MW too)
I liked the hardcore mode of WAW, but that was so completely different from MW2 let alone the stew stuff it's not even remotely comparable. In hardcore WAW running around like an idiot would get you killed almost immediately every single time

CoD 1-3 were WW2 era. The original had a very Band of Brothers vibe to it. It was fantastic. Number 2 as well. Number 3 wasn't bad, but Xbox only and was the worst of the trio. Modern Warfare at number 4 was the first to break from the era. They returned with World at War (#5) but it seemed lackluster to me. Back to modern times with MW2 in #6. So on and so forth.
It has been all down hill since #4, IMO.-

Call of Duty came out in 2003. It wasn't cell-shading, but for some reason the gameplay shared the same type of fluency (graphic design is totally regular though). Had cool dialog, and probably started the whole tactical way-point situations, like where you have to cover and take out a sniper before you advance.
Bold = Yes.
I remember it drowned Medal of Honor franchise on playstation, but didn't make it far. MOH tried a resurgence a few years ago, but they couldn't keep with the Taliban as the enemy.
edit: NM Medal of Honor apparently did rather well.Last edited by GeneralSerpant; 08-12-2014 at 07:26 PM.
