The year was 1993. It was a crisp winter's morning and I was playing b'ball with my Eastern European bros.

Had a fancy pair of Nike basketball shoes which cost a cool $160 at the time. I'd been wearing them for a week, went up for a sweet jump shot over some tall scumbag who was probably Serbian and he stepped on my shoe as I jumped. Tore the f'cking thing in half. Damn sole was flapping around for the rest of the game and I couldn't run properly with that poverty ass thing.

I went home feeling quite disenchanted with the sweatshop labor craftsmanship and never bought another pair of Nike basketball shoes.

Yeah...everybody thought that was one was bad for you too...who would want the #7 RB (after he already had the concussion games, he was a top 5 going forward from the trade) if it costs them Vincent Jackson. lol. I don't regret that one as much because I did it before Martin bombed his shoulder.

I can't stand 95% of the episodes.

For the very most part, I stopped watching it in 2003-4. I didn't keep up on it the most before that either. It became rather formulaic to me, but I still respected it in light of other satire available. I became a fan of it and The Simpsons when Neighbors came out, and they were feeding whole episodes. It became a new drinking show, but I'm pretty much done with available episodes that I haven't seen since then.

Over the years, South Park has turned into a very different show than it once was. While it's still as much filthy, offensive, scatological humour as ever, there’s more to the whole experience now. The characters have grown, the show has become more in depth and complex and the storylines have become much more sophisticated in their design. It’s grown up, but it’s managed to keep that same sense of humour that got me hooked as a twentysomething.

+ 90's Simpsons is better.

++ I have no idea why someone watches a show when they dislike 95% of what they see.
