Weight in: 122.1
- this is my running average: 0.1 more than last week but my actual numbers show 1.5lbs loss this week so I'm finally back on a downward trend.
- tried old jeans and belt and they fit! Whohoo. I think I'm starting to lean out in the hip and thighs.
- today is high carb day. Planning to eat close to maintenance with oatmeal at the coffeeshop after my workout and ordering my favorite pasta for movie night! Keeping my protein lunch so I'm not too hungry.
Have a great week-end everyone!

195.
Rolling along. Funny how my waist measurement changed earlier in the week, but it wasn't until yesterday and today that my scale weight caught up. Just a reminder that relying on any one measure of progress can lead you astray. I'm just happy that my loss has been fairly linear so far. I think at this rate my cut might actually be over in December, but let's not get ahead of ourselves!

OMG!!! First cheat meal in 3 weeks, slice of pizza and a POP Tarts.. Could've just eaten the pop tart, muscles needed the glucose/dextrose. Back to the gym tomorrow between shifts. Last 2 night shift, will increase my cardio the next two week. Workouts, my son and I will start 5x5 Monday, he getting ready for wrestling season. Run with this a few week, for him, then back to split body workouts.

I did my workout today plus an hour of cardio right after and then went home and later went back to the gym to do another hour of cardio. Today was a good day.
Why do I do this weightlifting thing for the last 34 years with all its ups and downs life has handed me? Because each time I came back stronger. NEVER GIVE UP. Gym life is about more than muscles getting bigger and weights going up. Its wisdom discipline dedication humility you name it.

Good morning! Happy Sunday everyone!
I made it thru yesterdays events pretty good. Ate light before I left. Ate next to nothing at the shower. And nothing at the cookout. But then, because I ate so little, I was way to hungry and headachy. So I ate a bit too much at home. Good stuff but still too much. Luckily, I don't have anything crappy at my house or I'd have been in trouble. Overall....it was a win for the day.
Also, woke up to TOM so that might throw me off a bit. Water and lean meats and veggies today. Don't want to see a gain on Tuesday.
Day off from lifting and cardio today but I might walk on the canal if the rain holds off. Then, I'm going to do the bills today, and the grocery list and cleaning. Getting ready for a new week.
5 weeks left here ladies and gentlemen. How are YOU going to finish?

yesterday i had a crappy run, so today i wanted to get back at it. however, a storm is coming through town, so i had to settle for being on a treadmill. (note: i'm not opposed to doing exercise outdoors when its rain, but the summer storms in the American desert mean a boatload of blowing dust -- which i don't need to be breathing.) well, being on the treadmill paid off. i kicked butt and feel great. got some confidence back.
also, instead of trying to do food prep today, got it done last night so i'm set for the week!
was off the diet/exercise thing most of last week so not anticipating a great weigh in for me tomorrow, but i am going to accept the number and just keep at it.I am the only person responsible for making myself fat. I am the only person responsible for making myself un-fat.

I did tons of cardio again today and calorie intake was on target so today was another good day. Im finally mentally in cutting mode. Im going to cut slowly though and use the mirror as my guide.

Wow my weigh in today is crazy WEIGH IN: 275.5.
Last week I was 281.3 and the week before 279.9
14th 279.9
21th 281.3
28th 275.5
Nothing special change but I lost alot of pounds this week. The only thing thats changed is probably I'm push harding when lifting weights.
Less cardio this week due to me spending more time with the kids
probably the heat gone up to to 36 degrees (96.8 fahrenheit) more water loss due to sweat.. I really dont know >.<Last edited by kojiiko; 07-27-2014 at 04:22 PM.

Saturday was the big day. The whole family ran in the Sunday River Tough Mountain Challenge. It is a 4 mile tough mudder type of race up the mountain at Sunday River in Bethel, Maine. Here is a description of the course if you are interested. http://toughmountain.com/course.asp
My wife Tracy wanted all of us to cross the finish line together so Jared and I waited over 10 minutes off and on for Tracy and Reagan to catch up. Finally Tracy caught up to us on the down hill portion and said that we would not be waiting for Reagan since she was with her friend. Jared finally had had enough so he took off and finished in an hour and 27 minutes. Tracy and I finished in just under 1 hour and 29 minutes. Reagan was about 5 minutes behind us.
Now that I have crossed the finish line with her I am going to go all out in future races. I figure that I could have finished in about an hour and 15 minutes this year if I had just plowed ahead. The uphill running was a breeze strengthwise. I did get a little winded but that was entirely my fault for not doing enough running. I really feel that squats and knowing the proper way to climb really helped with this race and I am psyched to do it again
Here is a picture of us after the race. Not an overly flattering picture but we had all just been doused with water and mud for the last hour and a half.
It was a great day. It is also interesting to think that just over a year and a half ago my wife could not have even thought about running this race. I can honestly say that I may not have been able to finish it in one piece.View my progress at http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=154724503

WEIGH IN – 136 kg (299.6 lbs)
Officially hit a new high and a now low at the same time.
Those several weeks of going full retard are showing through. I'm at my heaviest weight of all time and it does not feel good. Constantly letting everything get on top of me and look for that quick fix from food.My losing fat log - http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=165340371

28/4 - 124.5kg [-10.5]

01/9 - 139kg - out of control

Good morning everyone!
Happy Monday! My favorite day of the week. Fresh and organized.
Today on my agenda is lift. Bills. Bank. Walmart. Shopping. One house to do. I'll be busy.
TOM has made the scale go up but tomorrow is official weigh in so I'll try to drink a ton of water to flush it out.
Where is everyone? Lots of people are not checking in. Geek? Punky? Where's my girls at?

Don't want to sound like a douchebag here. My intnention is to help you out and give you things as they are.
You need to control your emotions over food. Period. I have been there also, eating to deal with problems and chit in my life and suddly I was at 115kgs (just check my picture in my bodyspace). Most people that get really overweight if not all of them is because they eat tosn fo crap to deal with their emotions and their brains get addicted to the dopamine/endorphine releases when you eat. You basicly are a food junkie, you cant resist it, its like the meth addict in the corner, always looking for the next high... in this case the next poptart.
Like the meth addict you have to realize you are in a vicious circle and you have to break it. Now beating yourself up beacause you "went full retard" last weeks doesn't help, because thats going to cause negative emotions and guilt inside of you and that will lead to emotional eating again.
So what I suggest is for the next months is to have all your meals prepared and stay away from your "quick fix/high" foods so you can reprogram your brain.
Being concious of what we eat really helps. Making a rational decision over an emotional impulse.
I am talking from personal experience and know its not easy. But it is very importan to control the emotions over food.

Thanks for the kind words.
Age is simply a number on a calendar. I have no intentions on slowing down anytime soon. There is so much to see in this world and I intend to see and do a lot more and I cannot do them from a scooter.
Great job on your workouts and I hope you get a chance to get to the beach soon.View my progress at http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=154724503

DEEETS,
Like everyone above said today is a new day. Wrap your head around your issues and get the emotions under control. Find other outlets besides food such as a long walk or a punching bag to take your mind off your troubles instead of reaching for the fridge.
You can do it but you have to decide it is what you want.View my progress at http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=154724503
