We're on the home stretch everyone. Hope everyone got something out of their transformation.
I just switched from AllPro's SBR to 5/3/1 programming and I am liking it a lot so far. Been a little bit careless on weekends with calories but I am on a bulk. Need to crack down and finish strong.View my progress at http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=154724503

Sorry for missing the update this week! I just got back yesterday from being out of town so I'll wait until Saturday and check in then... have a feeling I'll be around the same.
Great job everyone... it's getting closer!*Be miserable. Or motivate yourself. Whatever has to be done, it's always your choice.*

Day early weigh-in: 192.7 lbs, which is -1.3 lbs for this week.
I weighed in a day early because I'll be leaving for Portugal tonight. I'll be returning late in the evening on August 26th. It's going to be a party vacation so I will have to work hard to keep it tight without going overboard on the eating. I think there could be a nice way to have a vacation without completely overeating and drinking. I'll see if I can update now and then in this thread.
It's going to be a fun 11 days. Also, it's going to be my first vacation feeling comfortable in my skin and not being so overweight.

Good morning everyone!!!
It's true we are in the home stretch....17 days left. It's time to think about what went right and what went wrong and analyze possible reasons. Then come up with a plan for the next 3 months. Are you done cutting? Need to maintain or bulk? Or double your efforts and begin another cut thread.
With 17 days left, I don't know if I'm going to make my goal for this thread. But that's ok....I had lots of things this summer that kept me in a maintenance phase, unknowingly. I'm going to finish strong (only 2 things coming up) and see what I can do. I'm ok with it. Not feeling bad or indifferent at all. I stayed in control and no guilt. Remember...it's a mental game.
So today....big house to clean today.....then maybe get some sun on my back deck and swim in my pool. Football meeting tonight with my son.
Staying on track with food today will be imperative to feeling better.
How would you all say your efforts have been? Are you happy?

MOAR LIFTING POSTS!
Today was Chest and Back. I had a WONDERFUL lifting session! I did the same workout Monday, but i crushed my numbers in comparison! LEGGO!
*45 seconds to 1 minute rest between all sets (dependent on how fast I added weight to the bar)*
Inclince Barbell Bench Press: 10 sets of 4 Reps
135, 155, 175, 195, 205, 215, 225, 235, 255, 275-(only got 3, had to re-rack to get the 4th rep)
Flat Barbell Bench Press: 5 sets of 6 Reps
205, 205, 205, 215, 225
Superset:
Flat Dumbbell Flyes and Cable Crossover: 5 sets of 12 Reps
Fyles-55lbs DBs (110 lbs total) for all 5 sets
Cables-60 lbs per side (120 lbs total) for all 5 sets
Wide Grip Chin-up: 50 reps (wtf)
Yeah so I would go until failure and walk to one side of the gym and back and go again. It ended up being, 15, 13, 8, 8, 6
Superset:
Bent over Barbell Row and Bent over Dumbbell Row: 8 sets of 8 Reps
BB row- 135 first set, 155 next seven
DB row- 60lb DBs (120 lbs total) for all 8 sets
Hanging Leg Raises: 5 sets of 25 Reps
I still hate how many I have to do, but at least I can actually do all five sets now.
--------------
Despite being a 6a.m. workout, I'm pretty happy going forward! Just three more weeks of this routine after this one! Can't wait for normalcy! Lifting 6 days a week is painful... 6 consecutive days is killer!

Am I happy? I always am but with my with the results, no but with the process, yes - I've learned tons.
My injury means that I have a different biology now. And I can't do what used to work.
I made great strength gains in the last few months but I'm still too heavy. I was basically lifting 6 days and that needs to change. I'm biting the bullet and switching to add cardio days. Mostly for heart heart and also for better hip mobility. We have a new lateral trainer at the gym that I can actually use without pain and hard enough to get my heart rate up.
I plan to start a 3 day split with 3 day cardio and see where that leads me (and stay at 1400 cal).
Thanks for mentioning the next 3 months I needed to be reminded that this is not the end of all and I can get there!** Marie **

Back on Night shift, have to watch every calories... Scales took a big drop, seeing numbers that haven't seen in 20 years. 5x5 workout is going great. Had to jump the weight up 10 lbs. on most exercises. With the warm ups, this extra 10, I can feel at the last set. Funny... after squats and deadlifts , then 4 miles on the treadmill...took half the night to feel my legs again....LOL!!!!

Weekly weigh in is at 178.8 which is a 4.6 lb heavier then last week which is troubling me even on a bulk. I admit that weekends have been a little bit overindulged because I was not home and counting everything but during the week I have been right where I wanted to be. I just know that the weekends have not been overindulged.
We had to change the battery in the scale a little over a week ago and my wife and I both noticed an immediate increase in scale weight afterwards. Not sure what happened but next week when I take my son to wrestling I am going to compare with his coaches certified scales. Our scale used to run very close to that one another so I am interested to see what the change is.
Anyways I am tightening up the diet a little bit to try and get the increases down. Waist measurement has jumped 1/2 inch in the last couple of weeks so I know some of it is fat. Onwards with my bulk.
Have a good weigh in everyone and keep at it.View my progress at http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=154724503

Good morning everyone! It's Friday!!! Woot woot!!!!!
I seem to be taking a diet break. Not meaning to. LOL. I've just had so many things come up. This summer has been busy. And tonight I'm meeting my sister's out at a new local restaurant. I'll behave all day though, in preparation for dinner out. Egg whites and veggies for breakfast. Fruit and yogurt for lunch. Then I should be able to enjoy a little bit at dinner.
It's a process...for sure! LOL

Eh. There are diminishing returns. Sure, getting really lean is nice - if I keep going, I might be able to totally obliterate the love handles - but there is sooooo little muscle left that I feel like a teenage boy. I like the balance between being really small at the end of the Summer and being a bear-like eating machine in February. Everything else is just average.
I'm about two weeks behind my plan and I have four weeks left before vacation. Until then, I'm going to keep pushing down, every day.
That back injury has kept me out of the gym for two full weeks but it's getting better and I hope to restart training on Monday."It doesn't matter what exercise you do, but man was made to move, to eat sparingly, to work hard and to screw as much as he can manage. Work had me out for a week. There is always one week like that a year where I'm working like 12-18 hour days every day.
I undestand what you mean. I know you wanted to get out the 180s which is why i made the comment. I'm still looking for 190, but man, I need to resist.
Co-worker's wife brought in zucchini chocolate chip cookies. had 1.5 already. lol
I also bought a beef brisket for my stove top smoker to try, but I can balance that. No problem getting my fats in next week lol. Going keto.
not srs.

Last week 188
This week 184.8
I haven't been able to get to the gym as much lately since it's been busy around here, Until I get back to the gym, I've been using the old tricks. I've been lifting a bit at home, and staying on my feet more often. My diet hasn't been too off track. While making food, I'll lean on the sink/counter and do 25 partial dips or incline pushups, or make extra trips up and down the stairs and what not.
We're almost done with this transformation everyone Did you try your best? If you're not where you want to be yet, it's all good. Just keep going strong, we can all make it. As for me, I'll be losing a few more pounds after August 31st. I've been thinking about going to 175 instead of 178, but we shall see.
