Hey guys. bout to head to the gym and attempt leg day.
I'm really lagging behind. ws kicked in the ankle TWICE last night in soccer. I swear when every I decide to wear shin guards that lack ankle covers I get blasted. Well It's cut and swollen right now. Should have been gone 30 min ago, but i'm just taking it easy. I'll head there and probably just keep everything light.
I'll check back later with replies.

This is really interesting (especially for those of us that suffer with body dysmorphia)...
"We’ve been fascinated with the ideal human form since ancient Greece and before, although that ideal form has been constantly changing. Perhaps that’s one of the reasons why Howard Schatz’s Athlete series is so striking – it taps into the same focus on physical human beauty that ancient Greek sculptures and modern advertisements do."
"In Athlete, Schatz explores many different variations of the human physique. We get to see bodybuilders with rippling muscles, bone-thin marathon runners, towering long-jumpers and massive wrestlers – all side-by-side. They are all oiled and all dressed in the same black underwear, giving a standardized and objective context within which we can truly appreciate and compare their different forms."
"What also makes the series interesting is that, in many cases, these athletes are at the top of their sport – they represent the ideal physique required to most effectively compete in their demanding physical competitions. Their bodies are the perfect visual examples of how both genetics and years of specific targeted training come together to forge the world’s greatest athletes and, in their respective fields, the ideal human physique."
"The photo series can be found as a book on Amazon."
"It doesn't matter what exercise you do, but man was made to move, to eat sparingly, to work hard and to screw as much as he can manage. Do all that, and you will look as good as your genes will let you, be content as the arseholes around you will allow, and maybe get a few screws. The particular virtues of weight training are in the discipline it brings to both mind and body, and, if you do it right, it will make you look good naked and do well what you got your clothes off to do." I was 209.4 pounds this morning, I finally got under 210 pounds for the first time since going to my sister's place in Northern California for a month. My record low was 206.2, I hope to beat that record soon.

Really not feeling it the last couple days. I feel overly exhausted, today I slept an extra 6 hours. Diet was both 1500 cals on Sunday and Monday. Normally I can have that no problem, but yesterday I got back from work and just immediately fell asleep. Felt tired the entire day and had an intense need to eat. Woke up an hour later, dragged myself to the gym. Got back, slept slept and slept. Managed to stuff my face with 4000 calories or so. Then today I slept also a lot feeling absolutely miserable. I'm at 2300 cals for toady and also once again had to drag myself to the gym.
I feel better now, but it was like the last 3 days I had a system crashdown and I needed to reboot or something. So strange, was in full zombie mode. Just getting of the couch felt like climbing a mountain. I hope I feel better tomorrow.

Late, but in.
Made a couple of posts in the May 1st - July 31st thread. Started 'cutting' around mid-late May, didn't really drop significant calories until towards the end. Started at 189 and currently hanging around 174-175lbs. Took a progress photo over the weekend, relaxed. Looked a lot leaner and defined in a photo than I do in reality. Also, skinny/flat as fuk. I think I'm hanging at around 13-14% bf at the moment.Aria Company crew

Okay, throw me into the same pool as having low motivation. However, I know I need to keep going. I've come too far personally over the last couple of months to go back.
For those who are low on the motivation . . . fine. You (and me) have only one more day. then it's a brand new month. shake off july and re-focus for August.
(If i was internet smart, I'd post a youtube clip of Bluto Blutarsky walking into the Delta House and saying, "Hey! What's with all this lying around ****!! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?")I am the only person responsible for making myself fat. I am the only person responsible for making myself un-fat.

Okay, lemme edit something here. For those (like me) who have had low motivation, I said we could re-focus come August 1.
But why waste July 31? How many times have we done that "I'll start on Monday"? We all have. And come Monday, we don't. How about for those (like me) low on motivation start July 31 and have a great lead into August!! Let's not dis-respect the other motivated posters in this thread who have been encouraging us by wasting July 31.
If you want to waste July 31, certainly you can. But why?I am the only person responsible for making myself fat. I am the only person responsible for making myself un-fat.

I've been on a plateau lately and it's hovering above the goal of 180 that I set for the end of July. It's time for me to crank it up a notch and this is where it gets even harder. I'm not going to get any leaner unless I get back into a calorie deficit.
Last year, I only got to about where I am now and then I gave up. I keep telling myself that it would be stupid to have gone through everything that it took to get this close and not take it all the way.
It may help if I narrowed my focus to winning the day. I'll start with July 31."It doesn't matter what exercise you do, but man was made to move, to eat sparingly, to work hard and to screw as much as he can manage. Do all that, and you will look as good as your genes will let you, be content as the arseholes around you will allow, and maybe get a few screws. Exactly right. Good job getting there!
One day at a time! Just get through today. Don't think so far ahead and before you know it, lots of todays will be adding up!
You ? Give up? I don't remember that at all last year. You may have to add some cardio soon (gasp) you already eat pretty light.
Tony did teach us to win the day.....I swear, AA teaches it because it's so powerful. One day at a time. You know you totally have this.
Looking good Denis! Hope you guys had a good time. Get to the beach already!!!

Good morning everyone.
Today is my Friday....one house to clean today but first....1 hour on the treadmill coming up! Then after work, I have to take my daughter to get her TB test checked (for her tech school) and then .....nothing. Tomorrow...I'm hoping is a beach day.
So yesterday, one of my husband's friends on FB posted a comment that irked me. So my husband posts pictures of the food he cooks (macro friendly and unfriendly foods because he loves to cook) and the food the chinese that he works with eats (turtle soup, pigs feet, frog legs...which he doesn't eat but likes to post for shock). Anyway, he posted a picture of mussles with hot sauce that he had for breakfast.
Now you and I know that mussles are good. He made the hot sauce sans butter. (FYI 5 oz of mussles is 244 cals, 6g fat, 10.5g carbs and 33.7g Protein). So this guy, who has competed in bodybuilding comps but is currently 100lbs over weight, told my husband to stop eating crap, that he needs to eat healthier because of his heart and he constantly posts all the bad food he eats.....on and on he went.
Of course, I'm angry so I called him out on the last 10 posts of healthy foods he ate and posted and that he lost 35 lbs and has a clean bill of health and not a normal bad food=bad heart heart problem. And that mussles are not unhealthy. He then proceeded to tell me that they have too much cholesterol, to which I pointed out the 80 grams per 5 oz.
So, his argument then was to tell me that he went to school for exercise science and nutrition and looks better than everyone there so there.
To which I said that I, also, am a student of exercise science and nutrition (that I study all day everyday and put to practical use).
And he said....."you don't look it so clearly you're ignorant so stop talking now"
I was a little upset. Lots of people came to my rescue and he's not my husband's FB friend anymore but still....I don't like mean people. I don't understand why the debate couldn't have just stayed there. ?/??
Anyway....end rant. I'm over it. Just wanted to share.

You don't venture outside this thread much I take it. LOL.
When people are getting challenged on something that they feel they are knowledgeable about, when they get backed into a corner they make attacks on the person's character, trying to discredit you as a person (source), as opposed to discrediting the argument provided.
Most people on here go look at your bodyspace pictures and then try to blast you for trying to spread knowledge while still overweight, not having in muscle mass, or things of that sort. I'm not a profile picture kinda guy, but the main reason have the one i do is so that when I suggest something, they will see my profile and may actually think I know what I'm talking about.
People are trivial. A lot of my post on here are calling peple out for attacking a person's character when that person provided a good counter argument. It's silly and bad form.

Ha ha ha! Yeah, I don't really. I usually keep my mouth shut in most cases anyway because I hate confrontation and mean people. I'm not that person so I hate when I see ugly in others. But I was defending my husband so I got fierce. LOL.
Usually I stay in my own world of love and acceptance with my own little family and you guys.
Remember last year, when I tried to venture out into other threads and someone was mean to me (Cap had to kick some butt for me) while I just left quietly and sadly.
Remind me that I don't have that thick skin and should stay where people love me.
