I walked a mile "about 20 mins" and actually jogged an entire mile OUTSIDE "little over 9 minutes" for the first time ever. I'm normally on a treadmill, so it was alot harder with the wind resistance lol.

We're all gonna make it...
"It doesn't matter what exercise you do, but man was made to move, to eat sparingly, to work hard and to screw as much as he can manage. Do all that, and you will look as good as your genes will let you, be content as the arseholes around you will allow, and maybe get a few screws. The particular virtues of weight training are in the discipline it brings to both mind and body, and, if you do it right, it will make you look good naked and do well what you got your clothes off to do." Had a real low calorieday yesterday. 800 calories.
I just felt I needed a real low day just to balance last monday. It wasn't actually hard to stay this low, even worked out and ran 5.5 km which I ran around 2.5 minute faster than normal (31 minutes, can't remember the seconds.)
I'm not planning to stay this super low, but I think I'll keep it pretty low today and tomorrow too and then friday get back to 2000 calories/day.

Good Morning everyone!
Long day at the hospital. Stress test done and we don't expect to find anything wrong there. The bummer thought is that he could have regular people heart problems on top of his congenital stuff....but she doesn't think he does at this time.
I ate higher calories than I wanted but they were good things and I was stuck in a room all day. Lunch was late but at the hospital salad bar! So I was happy.
Getting control. Today is lifting!!!! And work (small house....1 hour). Then home to shower and dress and get the grocery shopping done.
Something I am this week to help get control...I log everything in my phone ( I do Weight watchers and use their app and then a couple times a week put in the foods to the calorie counting app to make sure I'm on track). Well this week I bought a Paper tracker and am writing down what I've eaten as I eat it and leaving it on the counter so A) everyone can see it and B) I'm reminded of it if I try to snack. I'll let you know how it works.
More later!

Just stumbled upon this thread, great motivation, thanks everyone. I'm currently sitting at about 177 pounds, 13 percent bodyfat (estimate). I use the mirror as my main judgement and I'm going to use this thread to keep myself in check with my fat loss goals lol. the goal is to get down to 9 percent bodyfat by end of august. thanks again for this thread and good luck to everyone with their goals!

I'm doing ok. Trouble staying at 1450 cals but I'm still losing slowly at 1500-1550 cals.
Workouts are strong! All lifting. Today is cardio day for the first time in months. I'm a bit nervous
Stay strong everybody!** Marie **

I used to track on paper and then went to logging it on a website. I liked having the calories already calculated for me on the website as it was less work. well, that was a problem for me -- it was less work. if i grabbed some M&Ms off a secretary's desk, logging that on a website took hardly any effort. but to crack out the notebook, look up the calories, fat, etc., that wasn't worth the effort vs the immediate pleasure of the M&Ms. that's just me and my story. do what you know works for you!!

<3 how is he feeling? i hope he bounces back. very glad to hear the stress test is assumed fine.
i am considering logging on paper. the negative in my life is i have a toddler who is a raccoon. he will likely spy it and shred it. he shreds everything. and if he can't shred it, he smashes it or hides it or throws it in the trash.

Weight has stabilized from the initial increase in carbs. I am at 2950+/- calories per day on my reverse diet. Weight is very slowly dropping so next week will take another bump up to around 3000+ calories/day.
I also have found that I need a deload week which will be next week so I should get a really good idea how big a bump in calories I need to begin putting on real weight.
Keep going with the great work everyone.View my progress at http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=154724503

Smashed the gym yesterday--I just had tons of energy. Gonna need that to become a more regular occurrence to really hit my goals. Felt like I was hit by a truck this morning, but I actually like that feeling. Reminds me of the good work I put in the day before. Might be time for a progress pic this weekend. Hope everyone's week has started off well!

Hey everyone! Food has been going great for me this week. I've began thinking about how certain foods make me feel before I eat them and it helps make better decisions. Yesterday we went out to eat unexpectedly and I ended up getting a side salad and edamame, I even passed on dessert when my son wanted to share one. It wasn't a hard decision either when I started thinking about what would help me feel my best.
Lifting is going good considering I miss my squats and deadlifts. Working around injuries isn't fun, but it's doable. I've been lifting and then getting on the elliptical, monday I was on for 33 minutes. Tonight I'm going to shoot for 45 minutes after lifting. I'll probably be at the gym for about 2.5 hours, but aside from spending time with my family, it's my favorite part of my week and i don't want to leave once i get there.
I hope everyone is finding what helps them stay on track.Hi, I'm Crystal :)

He's feeling better. Blood pressure is slowly coming up and new meds seem to be getting rid of some fluid. So far so good. He did some yard work Monday so he was feeling very good that day and I was sooooooo happy... Trimmed some of our Arborvite (sp?) that has been on his to do list for 2 years! LOL.
And logging...I'm totally logging twice. Just to see it on the counter. Sorry about your toddler. LOL....goes by quick though.
Sounds like you're doing the work, Crystal. Good for you. And I'm impressed with your time on the elliptical. I can do about 5 mins.
In other news. I got results back from the dr. HDL was a bit high but she is encouraged by my weight loss and exercising and think that the more I lose the better it will be. LDL was great (61 so in the "best" category). Glucose was a bit high ...barely...but again, she thinks that will get better as I lose. Heart markers were "average risk" so nothing further needs to be done there. Still having PVC's and PAC's which she heard while listening to my heart...completely normal and nothing to worry about but aggravating to me. All in all....good. She was so pleased with my weight loss. It felt good.
And....I lifted today. So...yeah. There's that. I want to get in some treadmill tomorrow but buys in the morning...maybe in the afternoon.
More later!
