    when and how to peak

This is not for an official meet, me my friend and my older brother have been lifting together all year and planned on having a contest on June 20th before we leave for vacation as our graduation gift. Not sure how to peak or when I should start it. When my back was hurt earlier in the year I ran smolov bench and noticed a huge peak in my bench but simply did that because I couldn't squat or deadlift. My lifts are 375 dead, ~325 squat, and ~300 bench. I have a month left so should I begin eating everything in sight and doing lots of volume?

Lot of different things go into peaking.
Time is IMO the biggest thing. Take the date you have picked for your (meet) and start from there. When I try peaking I like to start at least 8 weeks out from that and more like 12 weeks. I have my own program I have been doing for years that works for me. I usual start 12 weeks out at 60-70% max (per lift) then work up 5% a week until 90% and take a very lite week the max out.

In this case you have about 5 weeks including this week and the week of the June 20th. I would drop to about 70% max then 80%, 90% then rest week/lite. Then go for it.

    Good luck

5 weeks, just start gradually cutting some overall volume and start working up to heavy triples, doubles, and some singles. U dont have to overdo it either. The week of the meet, just chill and only do more or less "easy" workouts so youll be fresh when u compete

sounds good, so triples this week, maybe 2 weeks on doubles, 1 on singles, light the week before then go for maxes?
