Day: 76
Lifts:
Wednesday's Macros
Thursday's Macros
Misc.
The bench and squat sets were also done with resistance bands. I feel very good with my squat right now, I think the time off was very beneficial for them.
I'll be bringing my macros back down a little bit. I was a bit over the top the past few days but definitely feel way better. It was still 'clean' though, my fats went way up because I was binging on eggs, meat and coconut oil.
We're in the final stretch now though. I'm really looking forward to maxing out next Friday. I've been going to bed early, foam rolling everyday and anything else to make sure I'm 100%.

Day: 79
Lifts:
^It was sumo deadlifts, not conventional. I just keep forgetting to edit that part
Friday's Macros
Saturday's Macros
Sunday's Macros
Misc.
My macros are still pretty much all over the place but typically what I assume is a little too high. Kind of just following my appetite at the moment. I'm looking a little drier I think and getting a better pump even with light work these days so I'm going to stick with it. When I went to put my belt on today I was able to use the 7th notch easily which means my waist is the narrowest it's been.
I didn't feel too solid squatting today but deadlifts just felt right. Bench is a little iffy at the moment but I think I'll be good for Friday.
I think I already posted this one but I saw it today and it felt appropriate.

What's your 1RM? I really feel like I can get 600 atm
Step up your game for Friday ese
Oh yeah, by like a mile. Pretty sure 545 was just my 1RM at the beginning of this log. Hit it for 3 easy, I honestly could have hit a 4th but it would have been really sloppy formNSCA CSCS

Full update coming later today. I had a weird popping sensation the other day in my abs/ribs doing speed work with DLs. It doesn't hurt at all but feels a little funny with a deep stretch. I think this is the same rib that came loose many years ago when I was still swimming. I'll just need to be careful when maxing out. I don't see it being an issue honestly. I did a very light active recovery day today with no pain whatsoever. Everything feels ready to go for tomorrow. Gunna pig out at Brazilian BBQ right now and eat as much as I possibly can.

Day: 82
Monday's Macros
Tuesday's Macros
Wednesday's Macros
Misc.
My speed day was pretty standard so not gunna worry about posting up those lifts. Did a light active recovery day today as well. Checked my BW/BF on the scale out of curiosity and it actually said 206.8 lbs with 13% BF which is confusing. I'm going to eat as much as I possibly can today and will do it again tomorrow before my lifts. I might have just been low/dehydrated, I spent like 3 hours this morning working with kids doing a strong man comp and hadn't eaten for like 18 hours by the time I weighed myself.
Tomorrow is the big day, I'm going to go with Deadlifts first actually. I don't know what I'll be able to do for squats and I want to be as fresh as possible for the DLs. I'll still do Bench second though. My 3 1RM attempts will be:
Deadlift: 545 -> 575 -> 600
Bench: 255 -> 285 -> 300
Squat: 365 -> 395 -> 415
For those of you who are seasoned competitors, does this look good to you? I don't have any competition experience and I'm not really that big an expert on how to work up appropriately. I typically just wing it in this fashion as above. If I go for a final 1RM and it goes too easy I'll add 10-20lbs. I'll also get videos for each final 1RM
I'm gunna ****ing kill it tomorrow

So today did not go as planned. I woke up with a pounding headache and it never really got any better. I didn't take any pain killers I just expected it to fade away because they usually do but this one was hanging around. This happens sometimes when I eat way too much protein and yesterday I must have had well over 5lbs of meat plus a couple protein shakes. I should have just waited till tomorrow but I've been looking forward to hitting 600 for so long. I figured it was a muscle tension issue, everything felt kind of tight and I thought a little bit of lifting would actually help me loosen up. It did to some degree but the dull headache never really faded.
As I was warming up I felt the same sensation in my ribs popping but kept going, that was also dumb of me. When I was using my belt the sensation was gone but I had to actively exhale before every lift and I couldn't get the same amount of strength out of my core. That still wasn't even my weakest point though, my grip was. I could barely hold on to 545 without it rolling out of my hands which was abnormal. It didn't roll at all the other day when I hit it for 3. Despite all that I just sort of said **** it and set up 600 anyways. I don't know why but deep down I still felt like I could get it, despite how ****ty I felt. I chalked up my hands and was just sort of waiting for nearly 7 minutes hoping the headache would magically disappear but it never did. I had a friend there who was actually ready to tape my lift but I told him not too. I wasn't even really planning to finish the lift, I just wanted to see how high I could get it off the ground, if at all. I deadlift sumo so off the floor is generally the hardest part.
I don't know how but I cleared the floor without any struggle and before I knew it I had the bar stuck just below my knees. I couldn't feel anything at all, I had such a strong adrenaline rush I just grinded the rest of it out. Held the lock out for what felt like 5 seconds, but was probably just one, and then I let go. I couldn't believe I pulled it or how amazing I felt. I had no pain anywhere either which was surprising because I tore 3 calluses on my right hand. I didn't even notice right away, there was no pain, just blood.
The pain came back though and I still felt pretty lousy. I tried squatting and benching but I couldn't hold the bar right with all the tape on my hand. I'm gunna do a full review tomorrow morning. Depending on how I feel tomorrow I might go back to the gym and try again so I can get it all on tape.NSCA CSCS

Thanks man I really appreciate it. I ironically showed my friend my hand just before the pull, saying the calluses felt a little too thick. I was talking about maybe using wraps so I could avoid any possibly tearing but it wouldn't feel as rewarding pulling 600 with wraps.

Helping a friend move today so I'll post my review tomorrow. I grabbed some pics this morning but tbh I've looked better in the past few weeks. I'm gunna grab a few drinks tonight so maybe I'll look nice and dry in the AM.
I actually think I'll be trying to log CM again in the near future, would you guys be up for that? I'm going to stop lifting for a week and then get back on my own routine. Once my numbers level out I'll add in CM and keep everything else constant. I was pretty impressed by how awesome I felt during the over reaching period and I think I can get better results with my own training program. The first 8 weeks of this log were just too low on volume for me, especially considering I should be getting improved recovery from the CM.NSCA CSCS

I would follow that log if you do. You are probably right about getting better results with your own program. I am most likely the same way. I am going to try the program though. One criticism that I have is that 5 rep day at around half of your max. That would make me pretty angry. I do get why the athletes had to do that program. You had to keep the training exactly the same. I know the program DTP isn't perfect, but I think that is a good example of overtraining. There is a portion where the rep range is 50,40,30,20,10,10,20,30,40,50 reps for basically 10 sets. Do this scheme for two excercises a part and you will probably feel a stiffness that you haven't for a minute. I am curious to see what CM would do in this case. Pick the right weights and you will fail multiple time. In that case, just rest pause.
