Iranian refers to all the nation and people of the country Iran. We have Turkish, Arabic, Armenian, Kurdish, Lurish and etc... that all live in different areas of Iran. We are all Iranians.

Persians are the white Aryan ( located in Big cities such as Tehran, Esfehan, Shiraz etc...) they are referred to as Persian. Kurds and Turks and Lurs all have different languages, religion views, lifestyle and culture. Persian is referred to the modern and true Farsi speaking Iranians.

I was filling up an application for other day it said if you are Indian / Arabic etc.. check this. Then it had one for Caucasian or middle eastern heritage (Persian) check this box.
