You shouldn't necessarily change up programs just cause you're trying to reduce weight/body fat.

You may need to keep an eye out on frequency, volume, etc if you're reducing calories and it's having an effect on your training in these areas. Generally speaking though you would stick with the same workout.

I think a few have run carb nite to reduce fat while saving as much strength as possible. Obviously its a diet and not a training program. Not sure what the general consensus on it is though.

Can you not run the same programme but just reduce volume or something like that?

If you were cutting and wanted to maintain strength I mean.

Assuming you have a simple programme

I like programs that over-reach a little bit when I'm dieting. Not like smolov level, but maybe one of the lower # sheiko routines. I found that it helps me to maintain my strength most effectively.

    Obviously everyone is different though

I've had good luck with Madcow during my 2 cuts. Just dropped my 1RM 10% and had pretty constant progress.
