Some strong a** people in here. I rarely see anyone hitting anything over 155 lbs for reps in my gym.

I've never tried a 1RM for OHP, but I've done 55kg for 10 reps, which equates to about 73kg 1RM.
I usually do OHP toward the end of a full body workout so I think I could easily do 75kg for 1 rep if I did it fresh.
That's about 165lb. For the record I weigh about 185lb now, my stats are outdated.
I've just started a cut which will finish at 170lb so hopefully a couple of months into my next bulk I'll be at the 1x bodyweight OHP mark.
I've been lifting properly for just over a year now
edit: will test and possibly get a vid. My 75kg prediction was for during my bulk, I doubt I could do it right now due to cutting but will give it a go.Last edited by AlwaysBeShepard; 05-08-2014 at 03:06 PM.
You will never come up against a greater adversary than your own potential.

Never maxed out. 185x5 when I was on DAT dere dreamer bulk powerlifting mode. So about 235 lbs chunkified. Its the only big lift I never maxed because my back did not feel stable at that high of weight. I felt I could keep a more neutral spine maxing out deads than ohp lol. My ultimate goal would be a 2 plate OHP.
2 plate OHP
3 plate bench
4 plate squat
5 plate deads
Those were my goals when I started lifting. Might not seem like chit for some but pretty lofty for 110 lb kid who got beat in arm wrestling by girls.
