i think im on my way quitting dota (srs) lately i've been playing far less than I used to and i feel its not even close to being as enjoyable as before.

Maybe I'll get the pleasure back in time, but i sure hope not. I just hope it slowly dies, 10 years of dota is a lot

im kinda feeling the same way. the only thing that keeps me interested is the new heroes/events, which have months between releases. idk i might have a few months left in me

EGs been my new favorite team for a few weeks now sick team ^_^ i wish Mason would permanently replace Fear tho... Navis been kinda meh lately, havent been playing that many matches it seems. And Alliance = yawn...NAR is a funny team, they are legit Rejects and left over players + pub stars that decided to make a team, ahahah Sneyking is sooooo bad...Im watching right now and he keeps feeding safe lane as AM, he got spell shield level 1 and died lol...no blink?? seriously..ahaha

I quit about 2 months ago for 6 weeks and just recently came back. ONLY paying casually tho, this way I havent had a bad game since I started playing again..

working my way back to a respectable MMR...solo 3300ish and team 3800ish. Before I quit I ended up feeding + trolling + playing for fun/lulz lots and lots of games lol...you can see a huge losing streak a page or two back ^_^

For the unaware, Sayuri:
1. Broke up a team of players and made half of them retire because of her terrible management
2. Whored around and dated 3-4 dota players (Merlini, Brax, XBOCT)
3. Organized a Dota charity event for children and stole the money

alright i'll tell you guys how I got to 5k.

the main thing is try to stick to the role you are best at.

I've been a mid player ever since I started playing dota so obviously mid is my best role. therefore, i put "mid or feed" as my username, call mid on the load screen and call mid again during hero selection. if you do this, 90% of the time there won't be a ******* trying to contest mid. then type "lets pick proper heroes and win guys" to try and encourage your downer team not to pick useless heroes like sniper.

Now at this point, don't pick your hero straight away. wait for the other team to pick at least 3-4 of their heroes so you don't get ass fuked by counters. The main heroes I pick are:
-storm: if their heroes have split push (furion, am, tinker) or if they have an ember
-sf: if their heroes lack disables and flash farm, then you can simply out farm them
-qop: if they have slark
-tinker: viable in any games unless they have clock/storm
-invoker: never because my invoker is chit

Now for some counters against mid heroes. If the opponent picks:
-storm: you pick a 5 man line up because storm is useless if you 5 man early
-sf: you pick gankers. shut down his jungle. i.e. BATRIDER/jungle sand king for early dagger
-invoker: blink dagger doom
-tinker: blink dagger doom/clock/storm
-lycan: tinker/sf/clock
-qop: dont really know lol. i normally just outplay the opponent with any ranged hero
-bat: cant counter a bat but good thing no one goes bat mid these days for some reason

whether you win or lose is decided 90% of the time by your line up not because of player skill

rarely happens to me.

but it doesn't have to be mid though. you can be a sick offlaner or jungler and change the game. i cant offlane or jungle for chit so i got no tips for you.

i only play carry/mid lol

Just started playing this 2 days ago and wow, what a game. Already addicted. So simple yet so tactical.

Played a few online matches, lost the first 3 learning the ropes. Played 3 games last night and won all 3. One as Sniper, one as Clinkz and one as Drow Ranger.

Not sure if Im playing the roles correctly but for the 3 of them my tactic was to go any lane except mid, gain xp as fast as possible, get as many last hits as I could for gold and push towers. When we had a good load of our creeps push up, attack the tower until its down and repeat for the next and by that point you're pretty much at the base.

I liked playing with Sniper since you have the range to attack the towers while waiting on your next load of creeps pushing up and not be hit by the tower. Clinkz was good to play because as soon as someone tries to gank you or come from behind you go invis and escape. Also moves across the map really fast. Drow Ranger was kina fun too but didnt really have enough evasion techniques to get out of a surprise gank for me.

Looking forward to playing more over the weekend. Can anyone recommend any heroes for me to try which are fun and beginner friendly, similar to the playstyle I've just mentioned? Sniper and Clinkz seem to be my favourite so far.

I like playing the north/south lanes and pushing towers. As I said, I like Clinkz because hes quite good at being able to escape any ganks by using his invis talent. If anyone could recommend me some it would be great.

I wana try and learn about the game as much as possible and start playing Ranked matches. I like being more competitive so am looking forward to this.

Just played a match. Gonna be the easiest win on earth, or so I thought.

It was like 10-0 cuz I am dominating. And then we have a leaver. Well there goes my MMR some more. still under 3600 and cant get my 800 back I've lost this past month. Most likely never will with Valve against me like this lol. I cant even get wins I'm fukin SUPPOSED to win. Hillarious ****-tastic game

Still proving that theres hidden code used against good players so they will never completely dominate and "ruin" the game for others because they are too skilled for over 8 years now.

I remember when I first started dota... If I didn't have IRL friends to play with, I would've quit from getting flamed every game srs. I'm surprised no one has flamed you yet

tfw you play the sickest storm game in your life and your pc randomly breaks down. Game was 100% win but hey, why not have abandon and -25 instead. Been raging way too hard these last few days so thinking of taking a break from dota for a while. Might actually play some games I bought on steam summer sale last year lol (out of 10 I only played 1 - Darksiders which I recommend to everyone, awesome game and War is super alpha).
