Yeah, eventually you can buy both. If money is an issue and you want to get more trigger time as a beginner, get the AK first and then an AR down the road.

Yeah, eventually you can buy both. If money is an issue and you want to get more trigger time as a beginner, get the AK first and then an AR down the road.

It's sold out, I'm saying maybe I can wait for a few weeks or so, maybe there's going to be a good deal on a God tier AR, like the Daniel Defense V7 that was $1,100 3 months ago.

One more question: Let's say half a year from now I also get an 6.8 SPC upper. I can just swap it with the 5.56 upper and it's G2G? This way I can train with 5.56 but have the 6.8 SPC as my bed side since it packs a bigger punch than 5.56. Would I need a separate dedicated lower for the 6.8?

Read it twice, great book. Don't agree with him approving of all the extra Hollywood bullchit in the movie though. Like dude, your story is crazy enough, don't add unnecessary stuff to it.

I had this happen the other day . . . except it was 2 items shipped together and they never arrived. The tracking info from UPS said "left on outdoor patio" but my daughter was home at the noted time of delivery and there were no packages anywhere outside. Closest neighbors didn't get them by accident either. I contacted Amazon CS and they did a "replace" order for one item and a refund on the other, so I could re-order. Received both items within 2 days via Prime.

Amazon seems to have pretty good service on stuff like that.

Thinking about going ahead and pulling the trigger on one of these uppers too, even if it is a while down the road before I actually finish the build. Question for you guys that are more experienced... With the flash suppressor pinned and welded are you forced to change out the barrel if you ever wanted to change it? I understand why they do a permanent install on it just wondered if down the road I wanted to add a silencer it would be an issue. It says that suppressor is compatible with A2-mounted silencers but I'm not seeing a whole lot of info on these. It would be way down the road before I consider getting one but I'd like to know ahead of time that I can do it.

The movie was good, but the added chit made me kind of mad, dunno why. Luttrell approved of all changes too and I'm not sure why. In the movie they have small details like actual pictures of the family members of the four men. The end of the movie is a memorial to everyone who was killed and it's brutal man. It will tear you up.

I was only asking to see if you had plans beyond that. For starters I would definitely not replace them. There's no need for your first AR especially if you don't know how you'll like them. Some guys like them just fine. They will perform the same as well, it's all personal preference.
