IMO one shouldnt be wandering off on peoples property like that , clearly the guy was frustrated from being robbed before... still he shouldve just given him a good beating not a death.

would have got bean bag rounds or rock salt to stop the intruder but not kill or maim them

He had sensors and a camera in the garage.
He should be convicted for murder. Someone walking into your garage is much different than someone breaking into your home. There's no way of knowing who broke in prior to that night so that detail is irrelevant. There was every intent to slaughter someone and no effort made to keep him out. It's a mousetrap.
Anyone could have walked in that night, regardless of intent, and gotten killed. If he didn't want someone to "break in" he would close his garage and not set the bait. He also had ample time to get out of the house or call 911 since he had sensors/cameras.
No doubt if the person had lived and he fired a killshot with the intent to murder this case would be open and shut.

Dude shouldn't have wandered into a random American's garage, but shooter went all vigilante when he set up a honeytrap and sat next to his surveillance equipment with a loaded shotgun. Jesus.

I think it's an important detail as it shows intent and deliberate planning to kill someone. Obviously nobody should be going into this guy's garage, and I don't think anybody is arguing that they weren't in the wrong for entering in the first place. But the penalty for wandering around somebody's garage is not death. This is some vigilante justice going on here, the guy was p|ssed that someone burglarized his house and he wanted them DEAD. He didn't want them to be arrested and charged with burglary and trespassing and punished accordingly. He wanted to take justice into his own hands, and to him the appropriate punishment for stealing something from him was death by firing squad. Worst part is, it's not even the same guy who actually burglarized his house.

dude what loling at you even suggesting castle doctrine. There was no threat of death or grievous bodily harm since he knew that whoever would come in would be going for the bait he set out. To just roll up on a kid and pump a round into him for trying to snatch a purse that he deliberately and premeditatedly set out in the first place, is murder plain and simple.
And don't get me wrong, if his life was being threatened even the slightest, then I'm all for splitting a criminals wig back .

how does this make him a psychopath? how do you know he feels no guilt for his actions? have you ever been robbed multiple times? I am sure he felt like his man hood was at stake and if he was married that his wife and children were possibly in jeopardy. What happens when the robbers get bored and stop stealing and escalate there actions? if people like this aren't caught early they don't just quit, home invasions while people are home are crazy and the people that do them often escalate there behavior with the whole raping and murdering of some family.
there is something strange about this picture, I can't seem to place what it is though
