Inception, gladiator, matrix, 28 days later, saving private ryan, goodwill hunting
I think we know they're classics and they will go down as such. I don't imagine another zombie movie topping 28 days later or another war movie topping SPR. Many have tried and many have failed. The stories and information posted above are artistic works of fiction and falsehood

Inception is the only questionable one on the list, i'm only talking about the first matrix. 28 days later is the darkest, most realistic, non-corny zombie movie ever made, fact. Not to mention Cillian Murphy is a GOAT actor who is very under-rated. Wish he had more main roles, that dude can fking act.

considered crap by whom? The visuals alone are legendary and it got its respect from critics and audiences in that regard. It's still somewhat a polarizing movie especially to ppl watching it now but no one can deny that visually it's a masterpiece. It's a classic on that merit alone.
Regardless, most movies that are GOAT tier are recognized at the time. The only ones you usually have to wait for are science fiction and maybe horror moviesAny posts made by me (including those in the past) are purely fictional in nature and by no means is anything I say to be taken seriously. Every movie made is in competition with every movie ever made. There will never be a killer-robot from the future chase movie that's better than Terminator 2, because quality is an absence of flaws.
When you get down to it 90 minutes is nothing. A limerick. The medium should go the same way it went in writing - into the extreme niche.

Per wikipedia,
Pauline Kael said it was "a monumentally unimaginative movie," and Stanley Kauffmann of The New Republic called it "a film that is so dull, it even dulls our interest in the technical ingenuity for the sake of which Kubrick has allowed it to become dull." Renata Adler of The New York Times wrote that it was "somewhere between hypnotic and immensely boring." Variety's 'Robe' believed the film was a "Big, beautiful, but plodding sci-fi epic … A major achievement in cinematography and special effects, 2001 lacks dramatic appeal to a large degree and only conveys suspense after the halfway mark."Microbiologist/Chemist crew

I'll wreck you. Saw Transcendence last night.... great premise, okay first half and then went full retard hollywood second half with navy seals, explosions and the rest. It could have been so much better. I still liked it though, we need more movies like this, it's just they always start good and find ways to go proto-typical hollywood and predictable on everyone so people feel like they got what they came for.

Considering all the movies I've listed have received almost universal acclaim you're opinion is not reflective of what most people think. How was Her a bad movie? Amazing art direction, original, strong acting, great score, and a compelling narrative that hints at the direction society is moving in. If Her is a terrible movie to you then I'd love to see what's great.

what most people think is a form of collective insanity
not to mention that much of the acclaim going around nowadays is bought and paid for in advance
her was actually not terribly made, but it just rustled my jimmies to the point that it undermined my enjoyment of the movie... I usually like spike jonze but this one was just not doing it for me
