yeah im a huge top gear fan. I love it.
I've always liked Clarkson's honesty and just being himself. Sure he's kind of a cheeky kent, but it doesn't bother me. I find his rants funny. I don't agree with all of his opinions but i respect that he's not scared to voice them, despite how crazy
the end.

you know something is wrong with the world if people get offended by stuff like this and are wanting someone fired for chit like this. They just have to show off as being sorry and stuff now for the general (idiots) public to please them. They know that without him Top Gear would be finished.

I'm not sure anyone even cares fo real, but everyone has to pretend they do to avoid being ****ed along with Clarkson.

The "safe" word to use for what he says is tiger which sounds a lot like the n word lol. He is mumbling so you can't hear exactly what he is saying, but obviously not being racist since he is just deciding between two cars.

Whether right or wrong, most people still consider it racist if you use the n-word, regardless of context, if you're not black.
It's a rather stupid thing though. There is no consensus but the media just likes to find news out of nothing and this topic always seems to excite people.
You get hispanic rappers using the n-word and it's fine. Then you get some black guys who are fine with their white friends using it. Then you get some black people who don't use the word and think others shouldn't use it either.
There is no right or wrong. It's just the feelings of people at that stage in time which prevails; it's news to see someone get burned for being "racist" so the media reports it.202.5/135/245. Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=165241801.

As a non-white person living in europe, these people can sometimes piss me off more than the most racist people. Last year around christmas they started suggesting that we should ban christmas at schools and kindergarden so muslim kids don't feel left out, even though muslims had absolutely nothing against the schools doing christmas related activities and their kids being a part of it. But the media kept talking about it and it usually ended up with people hating on muslims and ******** pages being made, even though the majority of the muslims thought it was a stupid idea and had nothing to do with it in the first place.
People who personally know Jeremy Clarkson have spoken about this and said that he is anything but racist. I am a huge fan of Top Gear and he is a very likeable guy... even if he did say the word, it was not on purpose and he was obviously not trying to hurt anyone's feelings, nor was it said in a hateful way. It's definitely nothing to lose your job over and ruin a show that's loved by millions of people because there are a few sensitive f*cks amongst us who get offended by anything.Last edited by Nik7; 05-04-2014 at 08:51 AM.

Strong this. I've watched it a few times and yet to even hear the dreaded "n word".
Real racism is subtle. This public stuff is trolling. I know plenty racists but you'd never know it by talking to them cuz they keep it to theirselves. It's laughable the priorities we have. I love racists no matter what the race cuz I know I'm gonna see some great entertainment out of them

The funny thing is that people making a big deal of him making something that could be construed as sounding like the "n word" is a reflection of where most of societies real, engrained racism comes from.
You can just imagine the types of Guardian reading *******s getting up in arms about this when they actually meet a black guy thinking "Omgomg do I go for the handshake or would he prefer a fist bump I don't want to seem culturally insensitive"
