Spoilers allowed from the tv show, or from the book as well?
In for thread but not with book spoilers lol
End of episode was the 'King' White Walker; which supposedly was only a 'tale' in the book and his actual existence was questionable. (I say supposedly because I never read the books, but that's what a friend had told me). So he said he was shocked to see that he actually exists.
Either they're deviating from the book by making him actually exist, or his existence will be known in the later books that haven't been released yet.

Yeah no book spoilers.
But, I probably won't visit this thread a lot regardless since some ******* always likes to give spoilers and then claim we all should've read the book. Like sorry I haven't had time to sit through all of Martin's drivel (he's not a good writer tbh) in the past couple years. It's not as if this is LOTR where the books have been out for half a century.
I used to follow a GOT tumblr and that person put a MAJOR spoiler in the tags of one of the photosets so now I'm super bummed about that and super paranoid about spoilders.

The rumor is that he is the Night's King. HBO had it written down on their site in the synopsis but changed it to a "White Walker" pretty quickly.
You can read his backstory here. —> http://gameofthrones.wikia.com/wiki/Night's_KingLike success, failure is many things to many people. It was good stuff. Enjoy the ride. I suspect this scene may, when the rest of the books are published, turn out to be a minor spoiler in its own right.

i never seen the show, but i read the first book (bought it before i heard there was a show being created, wouldn't have bought it if i knew) and it sucks. i don't know if it's because i've read a ton of fantasy fiction and it doesn't seem that unique, or what, but i really didn't enjoy it. i'll end up watching the show sometime...i have 3 months of free HBO b/c i just signed up for Dish...so maybe i'll start getting caught up with the on demand stuff....

Tbh, Omar roaming the streets and getting killed by a 10 year old in a convenient store was a lot less predictable than Ned who was being help captive...
I know what you mean, that no one was expecting him to actually die...but he was help captive for quite a while. It was only shocking because it was the first season and people thought he would be a main character throughout the show.
Anyways, I thought last nights episode was meh...was good, but the way they were hyping the season I was expecting a bit more at this point. Previous ep's have been much better imo

How people don't sympathize with her character beats me; I sat through two whole seasons of Sansa hate watching with my roommates where I'm just over here like like yo her life totally sucks, cut the kid a break.
I'm not Team Cersei but I do have an appreciation for her character. Tywin may want to protect the Lannister family name at all costs but Cersei is forreal ride or die for her family - except Tyrion now for obv reasons. She's also one of the smarter ppl in King's Landing, a lot like her daddy in that regard
i also realize that scene has a little more significance now in light of recent events this season.... guess littlefinger got the last laugh on that one?

I love Cersei because of how much I hate her.
On a side note, I find her character really attractive...may have something to do with how much of a bitch she is lol
This is definitely one of those shows that will be much better when watched for the second time (when you pick up all those small things like that). And possibly even better during a third.

I get why people wouldn't like Sansa, she is a bit of a Debbie Downer. Doesn't give you any real reason to root for her.
Cersei I like because she does what she does so unapologetically. Smart, conniving, powerful, & ruthless. Love her acid tongue too.
And it seems there's never a last laugh in this show so we'll have to wait & see with Littlefinger.
She's smart, strong, & powerful. All attractive features. Especially in a package that looks like her.Delirious Mutant.
