    Realistic deadlift goal.

So I plan on using the Coan 10 week program but I have no idea what my desired deadlift max would be. I currently max out 425lbs @175lbs. What would be a REALISTIC goal be for me? and of course like every one else I want to deadlift 500lbs but I think thats kind of pushing it.

    heres the program:

445~455 seems realistic. Now it also depends on how much lbs of bw u gain during the program. I think the coan program is a peaking program so afterwards, you probably won't be able to hit that new max weeks later.

More than 425. Serious. While not the case for everyone, it has been my experience that if you are lifting to hit a specific number in a specific time frame, you are more likely to allow your form to break down, or ignore signs from your body that you're pushing it too hard. My opinion, follow the program, take care of yourself, and let the numbers fall where they may. As long as you're making progress, then you're doing fine.

Getting to 455 seems reasonable i would even aim higher and say maybe 460, but because your at 175lbs. You might be limited. Youll know what you real max potential is when you stop seeing gains overall, just try not to hurt yourself in the process.
