You sound like my husband. I always make fun of him for even thinking he needs to brainstorm about such things.

People don't study basic first aid or carry kits then get mad when ems doesn't make it in time before their loved ones bleed out either.

Better to be prepared. Although I worry more about the Sea peoples

Learning first aid is a bit different than preparing for a zombie apocalypse.

Sea peoples. Of course. I worry about those too. I also watched Lake Placid the other day so add man eating crocs to the list of things I need to prepare for.

Monday 8/4/14: Smolov Jr. for Bench - Week 3, Day 1:

    Flat bench
    45x15x2
    65x10
    75x5
    95x3
    105x6x6

    Stair climber
    10 mins @ level 5

Pretty easy day today. No aching in my shoulders so I guess yesterday's rest day was good for them. Left side of my chest is tight yet again.

Boom, I used your warm up again. Seemed to work fine for the shoulders. Going to have to modify it a little most likely for Friday and Saturday

    Tuesday 8/5/14: Legs

    High box squats
    45x10x2
    65x9
    85x8

Box squats (parallel or close to it) (lowest box+25 lb plate)
    45x8
    65x8x3

    Box Squats (lowest box)
    65x8x2

    SLDL
    135x8x3

    Lying leg curls
    65x10
    75x8
    80x8

Calf raises on seated leg press
    190x18x2
    210x18x2
    230x15x2

    Plate loaded rotary calf raises
    90x12x3
    135x10x3

I got to parallel today but not pain free. It definitely was NOT as miserable as it was when the injury was fresh. Just noticable tightening of both hips. I will ice tonight and see if any tightness lingers into tomorrow. I am still squatting a couple/few inches above my normal depth but I am getting there....I think.

I am a little excited that I was able to squat and with more than just the bar. My hips are sore like I did some work but I think how I am feeling is normal. All soreness is essentially muscle tightness but my mobility has not been affected like it was before. I am going to try to do more standing than sitting today to see if that helps.

Just to clarify I have not done 125x3 yet. That is the plan for this coming Saturday. A 1RM calculator says 125x3 is 132-135x1. Im not sure what 125x3x10 means.

It means you have muscle endurance

    Only 1x135 = 1x135

I actually like the calculators. I like knowing that in order to work to a certain max I need to hit X number of reps.

    Best gif ever!

And, I know soreness sucks, but at least it's muscle sore and not tendon sore! Even bigger win!

You know that is my favorite gif of all time!

It definitely feels less severe as before. I couldnt squat down just to pick up something off the floor before. I plan to roll my hips tonight and see what effect that has. While I am sitting here I feel....something. It defintelt helps to stand rather than sit

Wednesday 8/6/14: Smolov Jr. for Bench - Week 3, Day 2:

    Flat bench
    45x15x2
    65x10
    75x5
    95x3
    110x5x7

Today wasnt too bad. The 5th rep was not as smooth as reps 1-4 but all were locked out.

I got on the elliptical first so I could work on loosening up my hips. When they are tight it is difficult to arch for bench. I need to do more cardio I guess. People were stopping by asking me what I was doing. This happens almost everytime I get on the cardio equipment. If I ever have to run for my life I really hope my gun is loaded.
