    Question on whether I should bulk or keep cutting to get rid of these love handles.

    Hi. I've been cutting for the past 3 months and lost 21lbs so far. I am 5'10.5 and my starting weight was 195 and now I'm at 174. I go to the gym 4 days a week and lift for about 45 minutes and then do cardio for 10-15 minutes. I keep track of my calories on myfitnesspal so I eat about 1700 calories a day.

    I noticed my stomach has gotten a lot smaller but my love handles are about the same size. I understand that this is the stubborn areas and I need to lose more fat to get rid of these suckers but looking at my pictures, what do you guys suggest?

    I don't think I would cut too much more if I was you. You need some muscle mass first. You might want to clean bulk for a while then go back to cutting.

    That's what I was thinking but I really want to lose these love handles. If I bulk, these love handles are going to just get bigger.

    So you guys don't think I should cut down my body fat percentage to get rid of those love handles before I bulk up? I am gaining strength still at the gym while cutting.

    Slow bulk. You don't have enough lean mass to further cut.

    Plus after your bulk, your upper body will be larger so your waist will look smaller.

    It ain't an easy process but do not get caught in the cut or bulk cycle.... You end up spinning your wheels. Choose one and stick with it.

    How many calories above your TDEE do you usually "slow bulk" at?

    Usually hear 10% or about 300. Eat so you gain at .5-1 lb per week.
