    No gain in arm size

I have gained 5 kg but my arm size has increased by just quarter inch, barely. I am doing only compound exercises, no isolation ones like bicep curls etc. Must I add them too, then? How many kg before I see two inches? I am so depressed......

Arms are one of the smallest muscles on your body, so they will grow slower. Think of it this way. If you an curl 25 pounds per arm, you are moving 50 pounds total. At that point you could probably squat over 200 pounds so you will be activating 4 times as much muscle in your legs than arms so they will be able to grow more.

What program are you doing? Adding isolations will not be worth it if you're on a beginner program that is focusing on overall strength first. And what is your hieght and weight? The more info about where you're at in your training and body comp, the more you can be helped.

Arms take forever to grow. Remember that triceps make up 2/3 of your upper arm, so they should be 2/3 of any arm isolation exercises.

What program are you doing? You don't necessarily need to do isolation exercises, but if most of your compound movements involve your legs than your arms will grow slower...
