Fam, halp.
Almost all of my gym's bars are bent and none have decent knurling. In the past I've had injuries from a bent bar rolling down my shoulders while squatting and a bent bar slipping in my hands while pulling, so I'm pretty cautious. Never had this problem when I lifted at a PL gym with good bars.
I had my gym's owner, AND a different gym's owner, tell me it's not worth them buying one or two decent bars (TPB, Quest bar, or even a Rogue bar) especially if nobody else, including myself, is lifting a ton of weight.
So, am I justified in buying my own bar, or am I just being a little bitch and need to lift with what everyone else is using until I'm pulling some crazy amount?Last edited by goosefrabbas; 06-20-2014 at 09:25 PM.

1.Make sure you setup with curve up.
2. Show them Jesup gym's site for a cheap very solid bar that can take a beating.
3. Ask if you can bring in your own bar (I would take back home with you. Just ask zmcdole)
4. Find a better gym
5. Get a home gym

A friend of mine bought a new tpb and keeps it at our gym. We have a cabinet we keep it in, so no one uses it but us.

So Fam I was bored one day and just going through the supplement stuff since I know a decent amount about that crap. Went into the promotion section and stumbled onto this gem.
For some reason the walk the walk line made me think "this guys a dick". I left a comment but guess it got deleted. Anyway I've had a couple of 20 beers and stumbling through intrawebz for APA (the fed I'm competing in) I found this dude, and sparked a search for his lovely youtubes.

was at physio the other day and got to try out something that raised my heel similar to a oly shoe omg the squat felt so hhhhnnnngggg so next investment is some oly shoes
just curious how they size up to normal shoes
after finally using decent bars/benches/equipment if i ever had to move and there was no decent gyms id go the home gym set up dont think i could ever bring myself to benching on poverty benches again
not one single person will get this but i chuckledis this the most ****gy miscer ?
