went to a real professional blacksmith's shop today...going to strike for him and see if we can work out an apprenticeship type deal.

That sounds awesome. I've always wanted to learn how to do black smithing like that. Ive always been a creative dude, and I enjoy making something from just raw material. That's part of the reason I took to machining so well initially when I was trained. I went through the shipyard machinist school and got the highest grade that had ever been gotten at the time in it. But after working in the shop for a while and making a bunch of boring unchallenging pieces over and over, and not being able to weld because of retarded shipyard regulations, I got bored with it. I'm trying to get into woodworking now, but it's so expensive to get all of the tools to get started beyond doing basic stuff, even if you go the full manual route and do everything by hand tools.

At gym, legit sweating and forearm pump of peace to get sbd on. Also don't like how I can feel them bunching up behind my knees. Arian my twin can you confirm?

Oh, I'm by all means a bourbon drinker when I do drink, but after being in the sun today, a margarita sounded pretty awesome

First legit strongman comp in the books...went 163, 183, and a failed press with 203 on the axle clean and press...was glad i was able to DOH clean the 203 though...Oberst was judging that event, nice guy.

Farmers/zercher carry -Farmers handles were 225 and i had two drops. I used the primate grip but i think it bit me in the ass because i couldn't get it seated right...wasted time and energy repicking and got the 375 zercher carry 20.6ft down the course before time ran out.

18" silver dollar deadlift -went 475, 515, 565 all good. Dan green judged those...think i overheard him say he's gonna switch to conventional after watching my magnificent display...

Truck pull was cancelled because the truck never showed...we were going to pull the taco truck that was supposed to be there...would have been epic...

Hit 3/5 on the stones, said the series started at 220, but who knows that they weighed...

All in all awesome day...can't wait for the next one...now time to drop some flubber...

There is another one at a local gym in two months...it's the same one i did last year...it is no where near this level though, mainly for gym members and publicity...i'm going to be focusing on my conditioning and do that one for funsies cause it's only $20...

Yeah...you just have to find a comp with managable weights...usually local meets will be lighter or have a novice devision...
