Went to tractor supply once and bought veterinary grade EMU gel and rubbed it on my back. Burned the chit out of my skin, lesson learned.

Best thing I've found for sore to downright debilitating tendons/ligaments/muscles etc. is a combination of Walgreens roll on Capsaicin and Tiger Balm Ultra Sport.

If it's not the roll on it's not as strong. If it's not Ultra it's not as strong. The Walgreens Roll on Capsaisin has more Capsaicin per volume than Equiblock. So, be careful how much you put on. Also, it's a roll on and less to get on your hands or other unwanted areas. You DO NOT want this to get on your fingers. There is also Tiger Balm Extra Strength but the Ultra is slightly stronger. You can get both from Walgreens in store and online. Liftinglarge you can get a bigger container of the Tiger Balm Ultra though. I like the tigerbalm over most menthol products as it's stronger concentration of menthol and also has a high concentration of camphor and other oils that other menthol liniments don't have. Also, watch out on the timing of application and how long it kicks in.

For general tendonitis I'll apply the capsaicin first thing in the morning. This can burn all day and night especially depending on how much you apply and application area. Also, WARNING it can take a good 20 -45 minutes or more before you actually start feeling it kick in. So, some people apply it and 10 minutes later don't feel anything so apply a lot more. BAD idea. Then about 15 minutes before training or as I'm warming up I apply some tiger balm and if possible put on some sleeves. (some might not be able to handle the pain of sleeves over liniments and most liniments say to not cover the area of application.) Tiger balm can take a good 15-20 minutes before you feel it kick in.

For bad pains... Same as above but I'll apply the capsaicin again in the afternoon. This may cause a lot of redness and will most likely feel it well into the next day regardless of how much you try and wash it off and water burns...

For really really bad pains... same as above but apply the capsaicin again before training along with the afternoon second application then just pray to the gods that I can sleep through the fire for the next couple days. This allowed me to train and compete at a meet through a pulled upper pec and partially separated clavicle.

I have actually been thinking about switching over to a different type of underwear. If I walk more than about 20 feet my thighs rub so bad it could start my pants on fire.
