    Yoga

Having poor flexibility in my hips is leading me to contemplating yoga at least once a week. Any others add Yoga to their traing?

If your hips are bothering you check out some hip opener sequences from Kelly Starret on youtube.

Try a Restorative yoga class (some call it Yin Yoga) - it's more about stretching and opening, very static poses with lots of props to help your body relax - great for beginners in yoga, or athletes who tend to be very tight in their joints.

I use yoga as a form of spiritual enlightenment.

Thanks for the advice, I'll look into this as well. I tried a class 2 years ago a but that yoga didn't seem to fit me well. Also want something softer and more like stretching.
Looked at prices for local classes and it's very expensive - about a hundred dollars per month for a weekly session. Think there is a yoga convention in May I might have to check out here locally. If nothing else there should be some fit ladies around.

    Namaste

I use yoga twice a week on my off/cardio days to increase my flexibility. This is my 5th straight month doing yoga consistently with my strength training.

My hips are more flexible; I noticed I can get deeper into my squats than I did before. Yoga also lengthens your spine and deepens your breath so you just feel better in general.

And depending what type of yoga you decide to take, holding the poses itself takes a lot of strength. It's hard enough holding a chair pose along a wall. Try it without a wall and hold it for a minute.
