This would take too long. No one knows exactly how much time they spend washing dishes or doing laundry. It would take me an hour to figure out my entire days worth of activity into that calculator. Then take in to account that no one day is alike. In my case they vary greatly. Some days I'm active morning to midnight, other days I don't get off the couch besides going to the gym.

Doesn't have to be exact. I wore a bodybugg once and it said I was burning 1 calorie per minute when resting and 1,5 calories per minute when doing various activity including washing my teeth, washing dishes, undressing, talking on the phone, typing, writing on paper so overall most everyday activities don't need to be that specific.
My results as of yesterday:
Seems high but I did extra cardio, commuted a lot and had a workout day. On an off day without commuting and without cardio it would be 2400 so average daily is just 2600
Come guys, try it, it's fun, also as a way to contemplate our boring existence once it's written down in black and white lol

calculating "studying" and "eating" calories is straight up eating disorder, actually calculating all of that stuff like eating and "laying quietly" is. Those dont use any real calories, you are just being alive.
There is always someone less fortunate, with real hunger, with real adversity, who made something of themselves. What is your excuse?

Again, this is just for fun.
This calculator also count your BMR calories, so of course you must also factor in the "just living" activities, including resting, since there's no pre-estimated BMR to use.
But studying and eating burn more calories than just sitting or lying. As I said bodybugg was telling me I burn 1 calorie for minute when resting and doing nothing and 1,5 calories per minute when doing sedentary activities like eating, chatting, reading, writing...Last edited by JaredPunch; 04-18-2014 at 06:21 PM.

My bodybugg readings went like that:
squats including rest 5.9 calories per minute
leg curls 5,4 calories per minute
deadlifts 6,2 calories per minute
glutes bridge 5,5 calories per minute
calf raises 5,4 calories per minute
so a leg workout on average burns 5,7 calories per minute and 260 calorie per 45 minutes so yes that was a bit high
but I must have misunderstood the term vigorous, not as in "heavy weights" which would also requires long rests between sets and makes the whole workout just 40% lifting and 60% resting, but as in "short rest and heart beating lik crazy for 45 minutes"
So I should have used "moderate"Last edited by JaredPunch; 04-18-2014 at 07:54 PM.

actually, just "being alive" does use up calories - hence where you get your BMR from. Just laying around doing nothing, your body needs calories to generate the action potentials, as simple as just thinking to moving your hands and arms.
not that this means we need to calculate everytime we lift our arm up lolPSN: solidsnake2688
