6/8 - Chest/Shoulders
Note:
- Went to the buffet on Sunday after the orchestra concert, so ballooned up to 215 lbs morning weight yesterday...I'm down to 210 lbs this morning, though
- Coworker has been trying to hit 225x20 on the bench since November. His best is 18 (mind you, absolutely horrendous form...his butt's off the bench from the first rep...towards the end, I swear it's even higher up than his chest lol). ANYWAY! Thought I'd give it a try 'cos he's been beckoning me to for the past month...and I only got 17 I'll definitely give it a go again, though...I want to beat him to the 20 rep mark (with good form, too )
- I normally bench with my ring fingers on the rings, but lately, have been putting my middle fingers on the rings. Not sure if it's all in my head 'cos it's such a small difference, but I feel I get a better chest contraction...but then again, strength doesn't feel as strong. May be worth sticking to, though...we'll see.
- Squat rack was taken up for ~40 mins by father and son doing 3 plate DL with a super rounded back, so couldn't do OHPs...
- All bitchings aside, I had a pretty sweet chest pump going on by the end of it all

yesterday I took a rest day and before that I think I had 3 consecutive smolov bench days among other stuff lol

kinda injured my left calf a bit, but I think it'll be better in no time...more benching to come tomorrow

Notes:
- Back felt tight, so skipped out on squats (lol legs)
- Wanted 10 reps on 4th set of chin-ups, but wasn't happening
- Decided to up reps on DB shrugs. They're actually still a bit sore this morning
- Finished workout before my brother, so joined some gym friends who were doing DLs. Back felt pretty good, but wasn't gonna push my luck
