Someone needs to invent a push sled treadmill. I realize you can just get on a treadmill without turning it on and push on the handles but the resistance is constant. With a specifically designed "Sledmill" it could have multiple grips or even interchangeable handles and variable resistance. This would solve all the problems with sleds like transporting them, having space to push them, to even needing a dedicated set of plates for the sled. If it already exists then point me in the right direction. If not then make one of these and you can take my money.

I think I have seen this, or something very similar. Cool stuff. I assume a custom job? If one was attempting to do that commercially, it's going to get real expensive real fast. I could see some gyms and clubs investing in such a thing, but it would be cost prohibitive for most I'd expect. If that's your rig, what did it cost to produce?

Yes, although it's been through several modifications since these photos. Got rid of the weight horn, it's now purely compressed air used for resistance.

Yes, mine. However it's almost 10 years old, so I can't recall specifics. Expensive parts were 4" conveyor pulleys/rollers at each end. One with cladding (rubber) for non-slip under the belt. Still going to be cheaper than an actual treadmill.

Well sh&%, maybe you should consider offering that bad boy commercially.

If I were in the market to buy a sled, I think I would go with the dog sled. Even though it's 28lbs heavier than the old school prowler 2, it looks like it's less cumbersome to move around and would be easier to get in and out of the trunk of a car.

The thread intentions were to talk about push sleds. I was accused of being a shill for Elite by someone, and I don't make a damn penny on their sleds. That I have a sled, seemed the place to mention it, but the thread as was started well before that. So, I'll say no more on the sled of that's the section rules.

Member of FB page Push Sled Nation Rich Kahle posted this great pic of a client pushing the sled on her 102nd birthday! How cool is that? Sled work is an excellent choice for older adults for a variety of reasons. I have had a few men in their 80s use the sled, but no one over 100!!!
