Recovery, but since you are running the specified program which is of course new to you, it's going to be hard to gauge improvements on recovery since you don't know how it would have went without the HMB.
HMB MOA is recovery (prevents protein break down). Possibly fat loss.Completed Logs & Reviews:

So, end of my 2 back to back training weeks stint. No loss in volume or intensity. Muscles don't feel like they are beaten up at all.
On top of that, attempted db flat bench with 85s for the first time 5 days ago. Failed, 3 times. This morning, got 4 reps on the first try. I would say that there are positive things abound with with improved recovery plus the mTOR boost
from the PA I've been taking for close to 2 months now. So my current thinking on CM is that it appears to do what it's supposed to do BUT you're going to really have to crank up your training (improved recovery is useless if your training isn't objectively, not subjectively, taxing in which recovery becomes a rate limiting factor).
Still very early days though so these are just my findings thus far.Completed Logs & Reviews:

Similar findings so far in terms of recovery. I know myself pretty well, and it usually takes me at least 2 full weeks, if not 3 to get used to a new program. I did my fourth workout last night, and felt fantastic. No DOMS at all, despite having crippling DOMS during Week 1. I dropped supplementation of all recovery supplements other than CM and Fish Oil, and the fish oil has been consistent for years so it's not a factor in gaging improvement.

Quickly looked on a few logs, and from what I saw people were increasing the weights for every set despite only resting for 60s. I am not currently doing this exact schedule, but when I rest for 60s between each set I have to decrease the weights drastically to stay within 8-12 reps. Unless of course I start out with featherweights, is that recommended?
For example a chest hypertrophy workout for me can start out with the following:
Dumbbell bench press:
12 x 70lbs
9 x 66lbs
8 x 61lbs
Incline dumbbell press:
10 x 53 lbs
8 x 48lbs
8 x 44lbs
Is this normal or is my recovery just worthless? Would it be better to start out with way easier weights so I would be able to increase the weight between each set instead?

Muscle Tech Logger Request
I believe I should be chosen to log this product since I am willing to push myself to accomplish my new goals. While still working on my overall physique & lean mass I think this would be a great opportunity. I haven't participated in any logs which but I do self log my training via instagram and youtube monthly. My current weight is 224, BF% 18, lift max's Bench 315/Squat 385/Dead Lift 365/Pull Ups 15/Military Press 185. My current rountine is full body 4x a week with two big five lifts each session moderate weight 70-80% moderate reps 6-12. My diet consists of 1800-2400 cals Carb40-Protein40-Fat20split. My goal with this plan is to continue building up my chest, core, hams, & calves what i see as my weak points. Thanks for the log opportunity best of luck to anyone who earns the shot.

I wasn't lucky enough to be chosen to officially do a log but I purchased Clear Muscle and have just wrapped up my first week on the supplement and training routine that goes with it provided on Muscletech.com.
So far I'm loving it. The training routine is great, and I feel a better pump, better recovery and strength increase is starting to show as well now getting into the second week.
I'm excited to follow along with the offical logs and continue on myself as well.Last edited by ebotta; 06-02-2014 at 11:47 AM. Reason: Spelling

i'm going to do my own protocol, i wanna be able to see if it helps recovery with my protocol, not a different one where i have no idea how i recovered / gained without clear muscle.
but my protocol is very similar, based around compound lifts, strength based with hypertrophy work as well. i'm debating to start cutting, as i go to hawaii in 6 weeks.
i wanna compete in 2015, and wanna keep adding size (Started at 190 fat, to 132 skinny twig, to now a solid 152-154). wanna try to get shredded, sub 8% to see how my body reacts to dieting for contests. feel as though it'll be a good experience then long term bulk and get my ass to 160+ rangeLast edited by raponte22; 06-02-2014 at 02:54 PM.
