Rogan says Ronda would beat Floyd Mayweather in an MMA Fight!!! Do you agree with this? All he would need is ONE punch and night night!

I swear to god Rogan must get paid a locker room bonus for every time he hypes ufc outside of sanctioned events. The idea that a women like Rhonda can handle a single punch or jab from Mayweather and even get close enough to grapple with him is ludicrous.

rousey would try to bully her way in a clinch and get hit 8 times before she knows what happened

Theres a chance for sure. A rather slim one but defineatly has a chance... but probably would have to Werdum his way to a win, pretend getting hurt, jump on her back and hope for Floyid to jump in her guard.

lol ok.
Ever since couture/toney, people swear to god that any mma fighter will murder a boxer.
Let's look at that fight. Randy, an elite wrestler and decorated mma fighter, against a FAT retired boxer. The only reason that fight went that was was because of the takedown. Does anyone seriously think Honda would be able to get close enough to clinch? Because she sure as chit ain't shooting on Money...
And before anyone goes back to early ufc fights, saying "look at what happened to the strikers when facing a grappler!!!" Those strikers don't have a percentage of a fraction money has.
Hondas only hope is to clinch. She would NEVER get close enough to do so. She would get gave melted as soon as she got within distance"It won't get better, just different."
“Yeah, that's what the present is. It's a little unsatisfying because life's a little unsatisfying.”
Bring back ****got, ****got .

Nto to mention Toney's style is horrible to use against a MMA fighter. Even in his prime, Toney stood flat-footed and only used his shoulder as defense. He never uses a lot of footwork so he would always be vulnerable to a TD. Floyd would likely be harder to take down because he's often light on his feet with excellent footwork. He can circle out the way and land a 6 punch combo before someone like Ronda ever realized what happened.

Ronda's biggest issue (aside from being a woman) would be that her striking defense is apparently learned from copying Whacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man

Some of you act like Toney v Couture was the first time the "striker vs grappler" fight has ever happened.
It can happen, but it generally doesn't go very well for the "striker" if they can't keep the fight standing (which most can't/don't).
Now Ronda vs Floyd....thats interesting. Certainly not an impossibility for Ronda to win it though....I think a male would do better just with the additional strength.
But what does it matter, this isn't a fight we'll ever see.
I also don't know if Rogan is one to just tote the company line. As much as a nut hugger he was of Fedor (even mentioned him a time or two during UFC PPVs), I don't know if he would just hype the UFC train just because they sign his checks.Last edited by cgc; 04-16-2014 at 06:28 AM.

Plausible. I can see Mayweather's defense giving Ronda a bit of problem early on. In rounds 3/4 however Mayweather wont be able to handle Ronda's heat and will probably get TKO'd.

Ronda would obviously have to clinch him, then take him down. However, it would be really hard for her to close the distance for the clinch. Mayweather hits far, far harder than anyone she has ever fought (and is way stronger than anyone she has ever fought), and her striking defense is about as good as a punching bags. I would imagine one hit from him and she would get startled and be afraid to close the distance. That, added with his ridiculous hand speed, and she would be in big trouble. Her style is not exactly good against a boxer, also, due to her usually trying to take down from the clinch.
She obviously could win, but I think odds are pretty good that Mayweather would win by KO.{Misc Fisherman Crew}

unless floyd catches her with some power shots coming in, he's ****ed. you guys are seriously delusional if you think Ronda won't take him down from the clinch, and as soon as she gets top position? pass...and armbar
Ronda is clearly overhyped for p4p but she'd definitely win this 8x out of 10.Deathstroke and I list our most hilariously awful WCW moments (lots of gifs & vids; expect load time):

Lmao, Mayweather is an elite male athlete. He has that boxing cardio, speed and footwork. He wouldn't come in there expecting a boxing match and be surprised. He could easily control distance, land a nasty jab and finish her before she even has a chance. Technique can only make up for so much.

How? shoot for a double, drive him back against the fence, go for a low single, go for an ankle pick, thwack him with some leg kicks or front kicks and then clinch up when he grimaces or drive him so his back is against the cage and he's screwed, etc.
You're right that Ronda's striking defense isn't stellar. But Floyd isn't exactly blasting people out with glancing shots. His movement is as ridiculous as it used to be either. Obviously, if he hits Ronda with any power shots, she's in trouble, but let's not act like any shot from Floyd would automatically just wax her; there's not enough evidence to support that.
Ronda also doesn't retreat as much as she used to when getting into punching exchanges. She pretty much waits for people to throw an overhand right, and then ducks under and grabs them, usually by the head.Deathstroke and I list our most hilariously awful WCW moments (lots of gifs & vids; expect load time):

I would side with Rousey beating Floyd in an mma fight. Its similar to the early UFCs, Royce gracie was able to take out people double his size.
